Whats london like in august?


Just trying to plan out a trip to visit the parents in London this coming August. I have a cousins wedding to attend and would like to know what kind of fun stuff there is to check out while in the UK.

I was out there recently, just before Ramadan 2005. So I'm curious what fun stuff their is since i got bored after about 2 weeks :(

WELL IT DOESN'T MATTER NOW AND THEY HAVE MOVED???

WHEN I WAS IN LA I CAME ACROSS MANY AHMADI PEOPLE AND AHMADI MOSQUES, IS IT STILL THE SAME????????

Not sure about who they are... but then again i don't try to keep in the community loop much. It's strange since people know me, more then I know them :(

WELL LONDON IS WHERE MY HOME AND MY FAMILY ARE, ALTHOUGH I VISIT NYC ALL THE TIME TO RENEW MY GREENCARD, BUT I DO LOVE LONDON!!!

I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO MOVE T DUBAI THIS YEAR FOR A FEW YEARS, BUT I THINK LONDON IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE CLOSE TO MY HEART!!
BESIDES, I KNOW MY WAY ROUND!!

YOU MIGHT KNOW MY UNCLE AS HE HAS ONE SON NAMED SAMEER, MY UNCLE (AFZAL SHEIKH) IS A RETIRED I.T MAN NOW AND HIS WIFE(NASEEM SHEIKH) WAS A TEACHER, BUT THEY HAVE MOVED SOMEWHERE ELSE NOW!!

No way... such a small world... I have a lot of family out there. One of my uncles even setup a masjid out there :)

So why did you leave LA? where do u enjoy living more?

I USED TO LIVE IN LA, THATS WHERE I GOT MY GREEN CARD,, I USED TO LIVE YEARS AGO IN HAWTHORNE!!

Ok MissLondon... next time i go to the UK... i need to find out from you where the scene is. I got sooooooooo bored after 2 weeks in the UK that I couldn't wait to come back to Los Angeles.

I JUST COME BACK FROM PARIS AND I MISSED LONDON!!

LONDON ALL YEAR ROUND IS THE BEST, PARTYING, SHOPPING, CLUBS, SOHO, RESTAURANTS, PEOPLE, JUST EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!


BUT IN PARIS, MOULIN ROUGE WAS GOOD

no i'm from hackney, east london but once i marry (inshallah) in the summer i probably live in north london with my husband.

occasionally, some of the london naseebers have get togethers - miss london has organised a few on this village and jalebigang village has done some. its a good way to make new naseeb friends. the ladies_only village has also done some but unfortunately, you cannot come to those events!

Very cool... I remember seeing the docklands station when i was travelling around on the tubes. I still need more practice to figure out how to get on which line and those little maps they give out are what really saved me :)

Hopefully I can make some UK friends on this site before i trek out to the UK again.

Any people close to Goodmayes or Barking in this village??

depends what you're into too. i just love london in the summer - going to the parks, going for walks in the city, going by the river.

i dont know what there is going on for this summer but usually there is some festival on which is worth checking out, e.g. docklands and greenwich festival...
