WHAT'S NEW?
What up peeps? Anything new worth checking out? I need some new albums. I got Beanie's shyt. Thought it was mad weak. Anything else you guys know of?
all i gotta say is..."50, meet 50, he's the fakest thug you ever seen, curtis, curtis jackson, how come you can never ever be seen; once i got you, im gonna get give you, my, my fofofofofo, my, my fofofofofo..." lol...check out fat joes new album people.
What do u think of G-Unit music. I just love all their songs. Anyone heard the song So Seductive with Tony Yayo and 50? And their greatest song of all time is This is How we do featuring 50 and the game.
Hahahaha, that line was the shayt "the only thug that got shot 9 times and never fired back" i use that everytime someone says 50 is "gangster." Dr. Dre is bar none is one of the best, if not the best Producer in the Rap game. He made the Game's album so-so. If anyone has had a chance to pick up one of The Game's earlier albums, DON'T DO IT HIS SHAYT IS GARBAGE WITHOUT DRE. Jay-Z has always ruined the game with his money cash hoes line song after song after song. Jay-Z is the reason hip-hop is getting so lame on the airwaves man.
yeah, 50's the only 'thug' i've ever heard of that got shot 9 times and never fired back. (as jada put it). and his album sucked too. he got jacked last time he came to mtl. and at the game concert, even game told him to eff off. it's true, he just gets the best beats from aftermath and shady.
Yah ARABGIRL, 50's shyt did suck, I ain't even wasting my time checking out that Mike Jones garbage, and tell you the truth, I liked 1 song off Beanz's album (feel it in the air). I think the hip-hop era has been over since the late 90's. Jay-Z ruined the game big time after dropping Volume 3. I am waiting for a Godsend MC to come bring respectability back to the game.
I think Be is a hot album. Beanie's was aight. I like the Mike Jones even though he's all about repeating the same line (Back Then...Still Tippin). But can I just say how much I absolutely HATE The Massacre. I swear, it's probably the worst thing I've ever heard. I can't believe I wasted a cd burning that sh*t. His lyrics are lame and the only reason he's got any attention was the Dre beats. Candy shop = Magic Stick part 2. You can't rhyme man and man bc it's the same effing word. I'm sick of hearing about the money, the drugs, the hoes, and getting shot 9 times. It gets old quick. 50 got rich and stopped tryin. I will admit though that I am using the cd everyday...as a coaster for my coffee cup.
yeah...masta ace has been bringin it for years. i was just in toronto, which is a 5 hour drive, and was listening to some old CD's there and back, one of which was sittin on chrome; another masta ace gem from 95. i love that song. that fo sho was his best album imo. cormega's true meaning was better than the realness, and legal hustle was better than both:) and to end, the WORST album so far this year was geto boyz foundation. talk about retirement. scarface is alright, but he's like my dad's age(maybe not, but he's old). bushwick needs to head home to crooklyn and fix that eye, and old willie d, man, that dude just sucks.
Cormega is definately slept on. My fav album is The True Meaning, i thought it was even better than the realness. Lookin foward to Urban Legend...if its anything like his last two it should be fire.
Some one mentioned OC - Starchild...that album is def worth checkin out...Also Masta Ace - Long Hot Summer
if any of you were bone thugs fans, layzie bone just dropped an ablum (its not a game). its good to hear him man, been a while. id give the album a 7 overall.
Yea man i'm not to much into southern rap also but i burnt the Mike Jones album off a friend, its not that bad, a was feelin a lot of it but like most albums nowadays there were a lot 'ok' tracks, his album also came with a "screwed" version which i liked a lot, really layed back with the speeded down version...the OC though i want to check out cause it got some pretty good reviews, plus reading about his old DITC crew is kinda hypin it up more for me..
naw man...Beanie's album was pretty weak. you gotta check out O.C's Starchild. Common's 'Be' was mentioned. only 11 tracks, with 9 produced by KW. pretty good. lets see...memphis bleek's album was okay, nothing to go crazy over, but there is a hype track with M.O.P. (first, last and only). two more that might be worth mentioning are outlawz album, which was surprisingly good; and im not really a fan of south jams, but who is mike jones is a funny a$$ album. i couldn't stand the guy at first, but his album is kinda catchy. but if there's a can't miss album so far this year, its Starchild. but don't worry bros, smif n wessun should be droppin they're
s soon...stay tuned.
I just got the new Common album "Be" and its not that bad, unfortunatly there are only 11 songs but their all pretty solid, it was produced mainly by KanyeWest so the beats are pretty fresh and it is different then his previous album Electic Circus in the sense this album is more peacefull and calm, so not that much energy coming out of it but lyrically he's always on point. Overall i give it a 4 out of 5, i was hoping he'd have some more energetic beats on this album but regardless Kanye always produces unique layed back beats and adapts well with the artist he's working with, Common is always gonna be Common Sense by keepin it real so he never disappoints, the album maybe only 42minutes but it is all quality.
Yea man there seems to be nothing good out right now, i'm just waiting for the new Common album to come out or even Fat Joe's album, both coming out this month..
