What's your Bimmer look like?

Silver 98 540i and a 85 325e. I think I'm done with the new bimmers, I just don't think it's worth the price but the resale value is great!

M6 - Speeding bullet...

Must admit, I am not a fan of the new body...

Looks a lil too Japanese'ish/American...but that goes for any of the newer bimmers -- let's say post-2000 models

Yes, the 5er is the 'Ultimate Mommy Driving Machine' now that you put it that way. The 525 or 530 is good enough. I doubt you'll be going to the track with kids strapped in there....even though I know my son would love it!

YES!

Otherwise my alternative would be a wagon, a mini-van, or an SUV. Not for this chic! Sports sedans only please.

A 5'er is the ultimate MOMMY CAR!

Sonia,

1) I have not tried putting a stroller into a 3er, but I really can't imagine my old Graco (non-MetroLite) wouldn't fit. But I couldn't really know until I tried.

2) Yes, I have tried a rear-facing carseat and its miserable. Even a forward facing one is awful. It wasn't until my son upgraded to a booster seat were things bearable.

Is $15,000 worth it for one more inch of size? :P

msanford,

(1) have you ever tried to put a stroller in the trunk of a 5? there is only ONE stroller on the market that i can fit into my trunk comfortably (Graco, MetroLite). not sure it would even fit in a 3-series.

(2) Have you ever been in the seat in front of an infant carrier installed directly in back? Mind you they are backward facing. that means you have to move your seat all the way up and you have zero leg room.

ONE INCH makes a lot of difference :o) P: (H) :D

Sonia, the interior difference between the new 3er and the 5er is only 1 inch in legroom and 2 inches in shoulder room. FWIW, the 328/335 coupe is two inches longer than the 325/330 sedan.

I sure wish the 2006 iPod integration was even half as good as the integration in the 2005 3-series models. grrrr

I have a 2002 330i. Silver with black interiors. No, not a raiders fan. :) Feature I love most in my car is the Ipod integrated solution. No more CD's for me.
