hmm yah i guess im lucky..the place where i work doesnt mind how i dress..or of my piercings, etc..i used to have 10 holes..but i closed them all up besides one on each ear and my nose...why dont u try one of those magnetic earrings juz to see how u would like it..and if u feel comfortable with it..then get it...u know if u decide to close ur nose ring..there will always be a lil hole mark on ur nose..so think about it..and it doesnt really hurt either..but i guess i have a high tolerance to pain..however i hear u cant eat certain foods like rice or chickpeas cuz it gets like an infected gross pimple..good luck though

Well, LadyMoon, I wasn't fearful when it comes to piercing ears. My lower wholes were pierced when I was five (per my intiative, my parents did not want it) and the upper ones when I arrived to the US, I was 17. Now as for nose, it's a sensitive issue. If I did it while in college my folks wouldn't have said anything....but now, that I have a respectable job and all...it'll seem ridiculous to them.

My sis-in-law wanted to pierce her year again (she has 3 wholes in one and 2 in another) and I told her I will join her in, but will do the nose. She had to ask my brother's permission! Imagine! (and we're not desis, NOT DESIS! :)) Anyways, she decided not to do it, and now I am the only one in the field with this idea hanging over my head. Dunno if I should do it or not.

i am like the nose piercing advocate..i got mine pierced when i was 15..so iwas pretty young..back then no one really had it..i think it looks great on everyone...i personally wear a hoop..but studs are cute too

Aysha, thanks for the tip! And who do you mean by "she"? I am the one who wants to pierce my nose! I AM THE RUSSIAN CHICK! :):):) Anyways, yeah, I think having a stud would be better. Don't feel like carrying a ring in my nose around the office.

I got mine pierced in an indian store in chicago but my sister in law got it pierced at some store in jackson heights. Just tell her to clean up with hydrogen peroxide as much as possible. that is what my dentist told me. It also depends on what kind of nose thing she wants? like a stud or a ring, i personally like studs better, I have only seen a couple of people able to carry the ring thing off.

There's a great place in China town (no not a chinese place)

Hey just got mine pierced last august, had to redo it in dec. (left the ring out over night and it closed!!)

ON canal you'll see sign's for peicing items, the place i went to is exactly opposite near pearl paint. You go upstairs and there is a tatoo and piercing place. The guy who does it is really nice, clean, sterilzis everything and does it quickly.
