which hair straightener?

Just joined in. Wanted to know which hair straighteners/flat irons you guys suggest. I have heard of Chi and Hi as being good, and then I came across another straightener at a kiosk in the mall called corilloss or something. Just wanted to know what most think is the best.

I have to pimp the MaxiGlide by Maxius (yes the one featured in the infomercials). At a fraction of the cost of the Chi (I think MG is $80?), every Chi user I've come across has said this one was much faster and easier. I can straighten mine in 4 minutes flat on a #5 setting.

The Hai ceramic flat iron is the best flat iron out there! I have really curly, thick hair and the Hai can even flat iron my hair when I've done it curly. Although I don't straighten my hair that often (i like my curls), I would recommend this one! Check out the website for more info: www.hairstyles-tools.com

HONEY I KNOW THEM ALL, THERE IS A STORE NAMED SEPHORA..THERE IS A HAIR STRAIGHTENER AND BLOW DRYER THEY SELL THEIR MADE FOR PROFESSIONALS THAT WILL NOT DRY OUT YOUR HAIR AND ALSO HAS A 3 YR WARRANTY. ITS A LIL EXPENSIVE BUT WELL WORTH IT IF YOU STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR ON A REGULAR BASIS. IT BASICALLY USES STEAM WHILE IT STRAIGHTENS SO THERE WILL BE NO DAMAGE...TRY IT, LET ME KNOW..TRY IT AT THE STORE BEFORE YOU BUY IT.

hey chicka, actually I dont recomend using a flat iron...totally kills your hair. It is very damaging, cuz basically you are putting hot plates right onto your hair. I suggest blow drying. Yes, it may take longer to straighten that way and also may take a while till you develop a style of blow drying, but in the long run its alot better for your hair compared to flat irons.
