Who is the half-blood prince?


I have a crazy theory as to who it is. I think it's Dudley. I think his mom might actually be a witch who has covered for herself and made herself out to be a muggle So that makes Dudders half blooded. As for the prince part, we know he's a spoiled brat. Maybe Harry will need him to help bring down Voldemort. I can't wait to find out who it actually is. It might just be a new character.

What are your theories?

Neville, JK Rowling has been slowing building him to have more character and basically a good guy already on Harry's side. Is anyone checking out a midnight party for the release? (only four more hours to go:)

Neville is pure blood and Seamus is one of Harry's roommates. I've always wondered why dudley's mom wasn't a witch when her sister was. She could have passed it on to Dudley even if she isn't a witch. Imagine Uncle Vernon's shock if Petunia was a witch but he didn't know it!

coulnd't neville be the half-blood prince? i mean, it was between him and harry right? cuz they were both born at the same time and voldemort just chose harry randomly and stuff?

That's true! I didn't think of that. Where Nevill's gran gave up her subscription Seamus' mom totally went hater on Harry. I will have to say that there may be a clue in the fact that the second book's title was supposed to be "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" but if that was the title then it was almost definately talking about Tom Riddle. On another note I think the Dudley idea has quite a bit of merrit. Immagine if one or both of Lily & Petunia's parents were squibs. OF COURSE they'd be excited that their one daughter was a witch. But maybe, just maybe, Petunia didn't want to go to Hogwarts (for whatever reason). HMMMMM. THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!

oh! Goldphool - that's a good one. And yea, she does leave clues about everything. She wasn't nice after all anyway, because remember when Seamus turned against Harry in the 5th book because of Seamus's mom?

Seamus! Remember what he said, "Me Mam's a witch, me dad's muggle, nasty bit of a shock when he found out!" They say she always leaves clues! So why would he say it was a "Nasty shock?" She seemed like a REALLY nice lady when when "we" met her at the Quidditch world cup!
