Who is the 'Household of Imran' after whom the Surah was named???
You have all the time you can have in this world, you WON'T know the answer!
According to Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan's translation of the Qur'an, The Haroon mentioned in Surah Maryam (Chapter 19, Verse 28) was not the brother of Moosa (as), but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (as).
Another opinion is that the word "sister" used in the verse does not mean sister literally. It is a metaphoric term that was used in that age.
The father of Moses and Haroon (pbut) was called Imran, but this Surah is named after him. The Imran after which the Surah is named is the father of Maryam (as). This is clearly explained in the surah itself:
(Remember) when the wife of Imran said: "O my Lord! I have vowed to You what (the child that) is in my womb to be dedicated for Your services (free from all worldly work; to serve Your Place of worship), so accept this, from me. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knowing."
Then when she delivered her (child Maryam (Mary)), she said: "O my Lord! I have delivered a female child," - and Allah knew better what she delivered, - "And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I seek refuge with You (Allah) for her and for her offspring from Shaitan (Satan), the outcast." (Qur'an: Surah Aal-e-Imran, Chapter #3, Verses 35-36)
Imran is actually, according to some traditions, the father of Musa and Haroon or (Moses and Aaron)... so Maryam is called the "sister of Haroon" in Surah Maryam... :)
