thanks nura, everyone is ok. I had 2 mates that got me worried, since they almost went into the bombed trains. One was also in 9/11, poor kid, I just went to her wedding...as to the get together, you cannot make me feel embaressed, my new policy is to increase the funfactor in Tripoli when I vist. :P I have been developing my HALAL party skills in London, and along with Rihab want to spread abit of excitement in the world. What can I say its nice to be in tripoli away from the bombs, and today I gonna visit the beach (H) and SWIM. ..As to NamelHamra sweeite don't be sad (old post about visitng libya) you are always welcome to visit Libya, and I can send you a Libyan treat if you want. Just ask on this journal as soon as possible, and I will post it to you, from london to colorado (?), but please remember within reason (laugh)
hello peeps,...... had a chat with Rihab, and this Little Libya get together is DEFINITELY happening, so get ready for fun and good times. :))) :D ....Make sure you are around in Tripoli for the first week of August fellow Villagers and look out for Rihab's posting. GIRL POWER as the Spice Girls would say. And as to our fellow male peeps, we promise to talk about cars. Promise, well at least for the first 5 minutes. And to everyone else who SAYS they cannot make it, TRY TO MAKE IT!!! I don't care if you have to sell your cat, dog, your car, your house, ..etc. Okay over and out, and I am hoping everyone is having a good summer (despite the bombs). (H) (H) (H)
lol...the only camping I will be doing in libya...is camping in the marboo3a of 7osh khooyah, potentially(and sak you are more than welcome to come...we can watch dandana and friends reruns and play playstation until the deek goes kukukukuuuuuu)...wallahi the excursion seems like a dream, and sakeeena i would so sneak you in my luggage, but in misratah we dont do camping (frustrated sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh). But zaitoona billahi when you go to misratah, give it my salams...its a place of many frustrations but nonetheless my roots and I love it. P.S. who else is loving the naseeb smileys ;).
DAMN. this camping excursion sounds unreal. yareeeeeet. if misrateeya goes, ill ask her to sneak me in along with her - stuff me in a suitcase or somethin and we'll DEFINITELY come camping. its interesting how going back to visit the homeland has become a topic surrounded by positive energy - in previous years - my frineds would discuss going and D R E A D every moment leading up to, going through, and leaving it..... hmmm...
lol Zaitoona, I'll be joining you in a week :P. Can't wait........but getting there is gonna be heckteck.....4 airplanes....YUCK......about moms bringing weird things......last time we went to Libya mama insisted on bringing cans of tuna......it was really weird. I was like 'why tuna'?...haha......this time she's going crazy with blow driers and hair straightners....afraid that the one she has will break and people will see her 'real' hair hhaha :P.
im already in libya its pretty fun. ill be visiting lubda and msrata soon. I donno about the camping think tho! libyans will always be libyans about camping. its not the chips and soda and 7ajat baseetah that the americans would bring. we fill up that trunk with a pot of makaroona mbakabka and thermos of shahi and gahwa and corn and tomatoes with cucumbers to make slata lol. and dont forget the grill. they might as well just stay at home. yallah over and out. (by the way, did anybody else's mom insist on bringing walkie talkies to use like cellphones (talkie walkies!!). ok maybe just mine...beace
