Pakijunooni - thanks for joining the SoCal village, i hope it turns out to be an enjoyable place to visit/chat. You raised an interesting question about why setup a village if you are not able to moderate it?
Well, IMHO (In My Humble Opinion)... I do try to make an effort to keep public events that I am aware of updated on my village. I do not own the "California_Rulz" village, but i do moderate my own. for the roughly 140 people who have decided to stop by that village they have had access to events that I know of locally in Southern California. I attempt to have at least one event posted up there for each month. I'm a very busy person myself and the only time I have online is usually when most people are sleeping between 2am-6am. So moderators who make an effort do have a trade-off of their own personal resources for the benefit (in my case) of about 140 members. From time to time... a member will post an event as well which is a great thing.
i was just wonderin, im not into the whole naseeb meetup thing, unless there are some perks *wink*, haha, jk, but yea, plus whose the admin for this village, i mean if ur gonna set up a village u need to keep track and add stuff and what not. cuz if ur not gonna, then y set on up?
FYI - Your more then welcome to join the village Pakijunooni... there is another event on Friday evening in Culver City. I won't be able to make it since i have other priorities.
Dunno... I just put up things in my own village. If I was to put up things here and in a couple other villages... then the OTHER villages i'm in will ask... "Hey how come you didn't put it in mine". So that is a lose-lose situation for me. I only post things that interest me in my village, if I have time i might post them in others. :(
Well I had setup 2 events for last sunday in the SoCal Village. The SD village is setting up a get together with the SoCal peeps in San Diego for Feb. Lots going on in Cali... just not *here* i guess =/
Plus if u know some of the right people, they usually have smaller get togethers of the same people locally too.
