Wild West Bank *UPDATE 16/08/05*
Woo-hoo, my first entry in this village :D
Only naive people would think I'd write something relevant. But I'm not gonna. Just a link to a game.
Now go get rid of those pesky settlers!

My top score: 130200

Hmmmm, I knew there was a reason why I put this entry up a couple of months ago... oh YES, the flipping GAZA PULLOUT OF EXTREME GEOPOLITICAL MIND-NUMBINGNESS AND MEDIA BUZZ P: !
Forget the game at the start, the news ain't in the West Bank more than it is on the otherside of the Biblical Land of David :( , (but before that the Pre-biblical Land of the Canaanites and Amorites :) , and before that some VERY old, yet chipper folk :D ).
I heard summet's happening in Gaza ); .
And here it is:
P: P: P: news.bbc.co.uk P: P: P:
But I was rather "huh? :# " about this: news.bbc.co.uk
What stood out: "It is reported that no less than 6,000 media personnel are here. That is one for every one-and-a-third evicted settler - or, as a Palestinian colleague put it, one to record every teardrop they shed." *:
...suceeded by this nifty little note:
"No doubt many of those with press accreditation are technicians and other support staff, but it is a sign of the importance the world places on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict." ;)
Anyway, my first cynical response: morally-twisted media are here to see fights and violence (...I suppose whatever you need to do to get the ratings guys!). (H)
The Israeli/Palstinian conflict has been a thorn in my life for quite a hefty chunk of this current century :@ (Century of the MAD YELLOW FURRY WEAZEL, according to chinese folklore... but don't quote me on that one, not sure if my sources are accurate *: ).
What am I trying to say here? :#
Oh I don't know... );
...oh yeah, if any one feels like saying something very general, kinda like in "global-repercussion", "geo-political factors", "religion", "conspiracy-theories", "corporate industry-this", "socialism-that" and all that what makes international news so dramatic (relating to Israel/Palestine) #: ... or if you wanna make, or forward, a guestimation of what the future holds ... slip a soundbite here... or else go somewhere else where there might be a more serious discussion... trust me, there's plenty ;) and you shouldn't be wasting precious seconds of your life in this VE anyway :P
Rant-mode *ON* :D
If the IDF retards display the same violent energy :* , whole-hearted enthusiasm :) , and productive vigor (H) in evicting illegal foreigners ;) from the settlements, as they always do in evicting the Palestinians from everywhere, bombing them regularly, stealing land etc., this may be an interesting event :( .
Maybe this is what the media wants to see and broadcast... :)
... I think that using Caterpillar(tm) bulldozers, F16's, Abrams tanks, Apache helicopters, to "kindly and speedily assist" the settlers out of Gaza, may bring in the ratings :D (H) P:
Rant-mode *OFF* -:-
I still think my score in the game (linked at the top) is quite a tough one to beat! :P

C'mon Signor Shalom, let him go! You're spoiling the intrigue. I wanna see what happens next: news.bbc.co.uk
Who's accusing who of what: news.bbc.co.uk
And on a light-hearted note: news.bbc.co.uk
And that concludes my BBC middle-east round-up for the month :P
For your visul pleasure - news.bbc.co.uk (okay, I'm biased towards the Beeb :P)
I was in tears at the end of this - news.bbc.co.uk.
Then I stopped flailing my legs in the air and removed my hands form my belly, wiped the droplets off my face, got off my back, from the floor, pick up things that I dropped whilst in hysterics, regained my composure, and went about my evening ;)
