Well, what do you guys think? I mean calling him a BUST is taking it easy on him at this point. A has been? No way. A never will be is more what I'm leaning towards. It's Very disappointing how this kid turned out. The son of arguably the greatest Tight End ever, scouted as the best tight end to come out of college in like a decade, #6 overall pick in the 2004 draft. And then the collapse! The contract holdout till the middle of training camp, the blown ACL in game 2 with 4 seconds remaining in the game, the loss of all incentive bonuses for missing most of the season, and so on. And now this motorcycle crash which leaves his season as well as his career in jeopardy. You would think that being the son of a Hall of Famer, he would be guided to a better path in life, not making these dumb decisions. I'm not gonna lie. I had high hopes for Kellen Winslow II as well. Besides being an arrogant obnoxious fool at Miami, I thought he had the potential to be a GREAT player. What a disaster. Will he ever play again? How do you feel? How should the Browns organization handle this? Is this just another first round selection gone wrong for the city of Cleveland? The curse lives on!

So that's that. He's officially done. for at least this season, possibly 2. Needs reconstructive surgery. Damn shame.

Stillers' BiG Ben refuses to stop riding his bike, and that w/o a helmet!?! Coach Cowher isn't too thrilled. BenR simply states that he goes out in groups & takes all precautions in his 20k bike. I think it might one of those low-riders/choppers by the sounds of it. BTW, I had a sport-bike in Pitt' when I lived there, a yamaha yzf... I got into 3-4 accidents/mishaps & I was a conservative/low-key rider by all means. Sh1t just happens... also the roads, weather, and debris on the the pavement in WPenn really makes things the more tricky. These players want the 'high' or the thrill constantly... they are better off doing drugs it seems, atleast you get to play another day IF even you get caught.

OUCH-The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the second-year player's internal injuries include a collapsed lung, a lacerated kidney, and a lacerated liver. The injury that concerns team officials most is a knee injury, which doctors may not be able to operate on until his fractured femur heals two or three months from now.

... also read he was doing wheelies & other crappe. tibia & femoral breaks can be particularly bad if broken near the joints (ie. garrison hearst). surprised no upper body injuries, as often the case w/ bike-related trauma. i almost feel bad just because he's such a stupid idiot & immature dork, that he's void of all sense & reality... (sorta like mentally challenged people, sigh). he'd outgrow all these antics and behavioral problems eventually- but i guess reality caught up to him!

I really hope its just a torn acl and torn labrum, screw all that other mess man...

CLEVELAND -- Browns tight end Kellen Winslow's injuries are much more serious than first thought, NewsChannel5 reported.

5 On Your Side Health Team Anchor Lee Jordan reported sources close to the Winslow story said the Sunday motorcycle accident left Winslow with a broken tibia and femur, along with a fracture to the large bone in his thigh. His ACL was damaged, possibly torn and there are lacerations on his liver and kidney.

NewsChannel5's source continues to stand by the information.

One media outlet is even suggesting Winslow's football career is over, WEWS reported.

i read somewhere that over 50% or 60% of the playbook was built around him. after what happened w/ Ricky Williams in Miami (over 1/2 the playbook was built around him), i wonder if teams are going to shy away from such one-dimensional oriented offenses? (have 2-3 above avg goto guys vs. 1 phenom)

They are waiting for teh prognosis on that knee. They are keeping it hush at the moment. But Clayton was saying on ESPN the different ways to approach taking back his money and the only 2 scenarios that were brought up were if he's out for the year or if it's even more long term they could take it all back and release him. I have a feeling he's done and we're gonna hear it within the next 48 hours.

Sources are saying he's done for the season. You're right. He's only had 2 season ending injuries in less than 1 year. He's on the Charles Rogers path to stardom.

I don't know what in the hell he is thinkin. He already lost out on at least $5 million. Then he rides a motorcycle. I am a U of M fan and he is the best, but I would not be blowing my chance to get paid on some bull. By the way, you know what game he got hurt in, Dallas, baby. Man Big D, will mean Defense this year. Can't wait for the season to start.

Kellen Winslow II's first injury was obviously a freak accident and thought he would definately rebound from the ACL injury much like many athletes. Unfortunately, the motorcycle crash was something he should have and could have avoided since he clearly breached a clause in his contract. Thus, he could potentially lose his base salary and a bonus totaling $5.5 Million. Will he play again? OF COURSE he will...he plays a position that as a rookie was considered to be one of the top 5 TEs. There is a huge market for pass catching, extremely talented TEs in the NFL. He will play again and if the Browns dump him some team will be more than willing to take a chance on him. If the Browns decide to trade the KW2 this year, they will not receive more than a 3rd or 4th Rd draft pick for his services. Personally, I give him a chance to prove himself on the field and sell high. After all, the Raiders got a 1st rounder for a healthy Doug Jolley.

Yea when i read a article on sportsline.com last night i was like wtf man, he definalty messed up in a idiotic way and did even more damage to his body without being on the field..they released a official press report like 5mins ago on the Browns all radio station and said that he wants his privacy from the public, and the radio show people were speculating that the injury to his shoulder is probably a career ending one..so sad yet pathetic, i cared earlier cause he definatly would have helpd the browns in the future and on but now he's just a great talent for nothing....who knows what the Browns are gonna do, i guess until they know for sure what the deal is they go from there, the Browns head office GM and coach will just move on probably for now, before hearing the news on the radio i was thinking that he will be out this year, but being at 21 he should recover (again) and come back the following year...but who knows now, him wanting privacy from the public doesnt sound good at all so its probably teh worst case scenario.
