World Cup 2007

The schedule is up for the world cup 2007 and pakistan and west indies open up the tournament. I think pakistan is in the easiest grouping and should be able to advance as the number one team from their grouping. But in teh super 8 it looks like they'd have to face england and south africa which isnt easy. Here's the schedule if anyone is interested.

i wouldnt say its an easy grouping at all. I have some interesting statistics about home teams in the world cup. No home team has ever had a losing record at home in the world cup (that includes kenya and zimbabwe). And in opening matches, the home team has won 5 of the 6 encounters. Plus lets not forget what Lara did to SA in the 2003 world cup opener that SA were supposed to win.

Easy grouping? You never know...my West Indies could suddenly start playing some amazing cricket and blow the other teams out of the water .... ok that probably won't happen...but at least me and my father will be able to see the Windies lose in person
