Your favourite Lighsabre duel in the Star Wars Saga


Let's face it, the star wars saga wouldn't be complete without lightsabre duels. Which light sabre duel did you think was the best. Best not only in terms of skill, but also the environment where it was taking place. My favourite is the one from the Phantom Menace; Obiwan Kenobi and Quigon Jinn vs Darth Maul.

qui-gon vs maul was awesome technically,but I don't think they beat the luke vs vader fights which had a lot more emotion and style in them.

Most of the light sabre duels were pretty good. My 2nd favurite of the series was Mace Windu vs. Emperor Palpatine. This battle was pretty intense. I think it will be forever debated if Mace Windu actually had the emperor beat, or if the Emperor was losing the battle on purpose to lure Anakin to the dark side.

The Darth Maul duel doesn't make sense. Sure its luster is great, the actor does some great acrobatics and oh, theres a double sided lightsaber. But the meaning of the battle wasn't nearly as powerful as most of the other battles. In the Obi-Wan/Anakin duel, you could literally feel their souls battling, not just their lightsabers

Obi-Wan and Anakin. In terms of lightsaber skills they are both about even, but Obi-Wan is clearly the more seasoned warrior which puts him a little over the edge

Yeah man the battle between Obi-wan and Qwi-gon against Darth Maul was pretty kickass. I dont know whats my fav there all awesome. It was cool to see Gen. Grevious bust out with some quadroupal lightsaber action.
