Zameer
Medaan-e-jang main
naa-aashna shaid hi....
qurbat ka dawaa kar saka ho
Kay jis tarhan
Be-aab aa-iinaa
aaj shaan say humaray
zameer kay alam main hai...
the first verse put simply, the idea was that when youre at war, youre in close proximity to absolute strangers: naa-aashna (stranger), qurbat (closeness, to come close), as well you're susceptible to death
the second verse has to do with immortality, immortals cannot see themselves in the mirror, i call myself paras (paras is the midas touch where whatever you touch turns into gold, and gold, although valuable is still a stone) therefore, the heart is a stone, with no feelings or emotions etc...and i elongated the theory to say that a stone is immortal, therefore it cannot be seen in the mirror, and nothing can kill a stone
secondly, a mirror reflects only the truth, whereas a human can only see what you show them?
to put it together: this love has turned an immortal into a mortal such that his reflection can be seen, and now, even a stranger couldn?t have come as close to me (during war) as the mirror's reflection (zameer) of me today.
And to put it even more simply: love has allowed us to see our true reflection, (in the person that we are in love with)
