Zinda

Zinda starring John Abraham, Sanjay Dutt, Mahesh Manjrekar, Lara Dutta, and Celine Jaitly is soon to be released on January 13th.
Zinda, being directed and produced by Sanjay Gupta (of Kaante, Musafir, and Karam fame) has lots of interesting elements other than the fact that it stars John Abraham :)
There are two title tracks "zinda hoon mein" and "yeh hai meri kahani". The latter was created and sung by the Pakistani Band "Strings". The lyrics to the song were written by the infamous Pakistani Anwar Maqsood who also happens to be Bilal Maqsood's (guitarist and vocals for Strings) father. The song is already on top of the charts and has increased the anticipation of this movie.
I'm a fan of Sanjay Gupta's films and of course Johnny Baby and Sanju Baba...I don't think the movie will disappoint.

i agree lubnah..

very well made movie..it carries a dark/different feel throughout the movie..very stylish flick with amazing performances..

at least the strings song was played in the movie..WHAT HAPPENED TO 'HAR SAANS'??

i was looking forward to that song, but it never came around..hopefully, the dvd will come with deleted scenes and songs..

**NOTE: THIS MOVIE IS NOT MEANT TO BE SCENE WITH THE FAMILY OR KIDS!**

i don't think the desi community can digest this movie, lekin, i thought it was tight ;)

this move was really hot...sanju and john were amazing...lara did a good job as well..celine looked hot....only complaint is that they didn't picturize the strings video well...could have been better...i think sanjay gupta did a fine job with the movie...

har saans is a phenomenal song....for me it represents a milestone of sorts (though bolloywood has made many such similar successful attempts). the song's entirely modern in its outlook... yet it recognizes that love with its associated pains is equally powerfull in this outlook.

i hope the strings' new album would carry forward the 'urban-ness' so strikingly captured in the 'duur' album but put aside in 'dhaani'...

sanjay gupta's movies are usually pretty harsh so it probably will not be "watered down" much...

Looks like a shot by shot remake of a Korean film called "oldboy" now that movie was unrelently harsh - wonder if "zinda" is watered down or not.
