AOA,
Having seen the destruction caused by hurricane Katrina and the aftermath, I wanted to open a forum where Naseebers can express their opinions on the disaster.

While I understand you may feel strongly about what happened, I ask that you avoid political, racial and religious bigotry.

Thanks.

WHo knows? Maybe they should just use the land that is below sea level as a land fill for a couple of years and then build something on it later.
As far as totally abandoning the city, that will never happen because of the port and the oil and gas industry.

In addition to the hurricanes, we now have an earthquake! This has been a bad year for natural disasters and I think we should all make efforts to help those affected by the disasters.

CAIR has pledged to raise 10 million dollars to help the support the relief efforts in the wake of Katirna. Muslims need to step up and donate generously and help meet the goal. Also, the epicenter of relief effort is the Islamic Center of Baton Rouge. At this point there are about 150 people in the center. ICNA has pledged 250K dollars to help in that cause. You can go to the icna site and make a donation there or use the following link. icnany.org
