Porche

Hello, I am sure there are a lot of people on this site who must own Porche. I am creating this club to share the experiences that you have and help others if someone is curious or want to know about something...
I have a porche boxster and so far so good.. I would like to hear from other owners also.:)

I am thinking of upgrading to a GT3 or a turbo... Can?t decide which one to get.. turbo is fast but I don?t like the all wheel drive option. I think a normal C2 is more fun..Gt3 will be some thing more close to a C2. I wont be using it for daily driving ..

the 997 gt3 and the 911s with performance package u have is probably a pretty similar experience albeit with less power. now the 996 gt3 is a real departure from the "domesticated" porsches that are available. it is raw, stiff, and must be treated with a great deal of respect otherwise you will end up wrapped around the nearest tree to a curve...but isn't the risk of such part of the thrill? in order to get the same experience now, you'd have to get into a 997 gt3 rs

i hate to say this.....but a boxter is NOT a porsche. at best it is a porsche in panties. as a 911 enthusiast, i so regret porsche's marketing decision to create this go-kart aka the boxter. it dilutes the delirious pleasure of a 911 .

hmm.. You might want to correct the spelling of your village from porche to porSche with an S... I am sure you can read it in the back of your boxster.. which incidentally I don't consider to be a real porsche. I don't think any porsche should be made affordable to the middle class. I call the boxster the poor mans porsche. Oh well.. Enjoy.. and please correct the spelling because i am a porsche fanatic and it's very disturbing to me to have it misrepresented.. thank you have a nice drive.

pfunkie,

haha.. thats funny..The less letters = Cheap... The more letters = Valueable... so lets add some more letters in your name...probably an addition of S will work better:)

I agree with SuperMalik.. 911 has the engine power...and I loved driving it... I just like the outside shape of boxster for some weird reason..I wished they could put some more engine power in it.. although it is fine as far as the road grip and control is concerned...Vipers on the other hand are very difficult to handle..although its a powerful car

their marketing mantra used to be "there is no substitute" and for a world class daily driver, I have to agree. I've been driving porsches for the last five years, initially a 911 carrera and currently a twin turbo. believe it or not, I had more fun in the carrera than in the turbo. I have also driven extensively the new M3 (BMW) and despite all their claims, it cannot in any shape or form run with a carrera. the twin turbo is not a daily driver, too much torque and too much work to drive. but I'm glad I had the opportunity to drive it. I'll be turning it in this summer( the lease ends) and I may go without a porsche for a while....sigh. so hopefully this village will provide opportunities for me to live vicariously!

no offense, but whoever started this Village; please correct the spelling of Porsche! It hurts to see it misspelled as "Porche" Someone forgot the "S" in Porsche when they gave this village it's name.

thanks in advance.

Always keepin' it real,
AA.

Porsche Twin Turbo is for sure not a every day car ...but its a fun car to drive ..not everyone can drive it ...the driver has to get used to it ...Porsche Boxster also known as the POOR MANS porsche is not the greatest car in the Porsche line of production, however there was a time when I used to valet and I got to drive the Carrera GT ..... ..check it out at this link provided below...by far a really crazy car to be in ....
with a sticker price of a lil more than a half a million this V-10 600HP two seater is for sure more than a joy ride

thanks for sharing the experiences Zaheer..i really agree with your sentiments about carera.. there is no substitute... by the way, how much was the lease.. i never checked the lease option for carera earlier..probably because i like to buy cars on cash without having to worry about monthly loan payments to avoid paying the interest.. but lease seem to me a good idea.. how was the experience? must be tough when u have to return it back.. right?
