has added a new journalFriends.....a while back I bought this OFNA buggy which I really like but as long as it runs!! Man its so hard to start it and tune it sometimes. I need help....
Any suggestions are more than welcome.

depends what your problem is... the thing with the nitro engines, they are carbureted so they are a bit sensitive to tuning... they also need to be adjusted and readjusted with the weather, factors like air temperature and humidity affect the engine's performance because the amount of oxygen that gets into the engine changes as the air density changes, etc. etc. etc... i think it is usually easier to get to run rich to get it started and then adjust your needles as need to get to run right... usually the optimum is so that it is running stong, not too lean, there should still be white/blue smoke coming out of the exhaust even at wide open throttle... that insures that your engine is still being getting the proper lubrications from the fuel mixture... that's also important for keeping your engine alive, it keeps the temp. in the optimal range and keeps your engine compotents from wearing prematurely....i don't know what symptoms you are getting when you are trying to start it up, if it just won't start, or kind of burn the fuel but it's not enough to get it running or if it will start but when you hit the gas it bogs down and dies... give more details...

It's just us three in here, but what type of vehicles do you guys run?
Personally, I have nitro planes, electric planes, electric cars (4WD touring car and 2WD stadium truck), nitro truck, 30-sized and micro electric helicopters, electric airboats, and some vehicles that don't really fit into a single category.
Alhamdulillah, my work involves designing, building, and flight testing small R/C airplanes. So I end up getting quite a bit of stick time for the small electric airplanes, but sometimes not so much for the other vehicles.
The biggest airplane I have is a 25% scale Extra 300. Masha' Allah, this thing is all sorts of aerobatic madness. One of the cooler things I've done to the touring car is the addition of ABS plastic tires to make a little drift machine. All sorts of R/C goodness.

i have an HPI nitro RS42, nothing to special, and i also have a towerhobbies ST15 stadium truck, which mgiht i say, is NOT the best truck around, but it is fun to beat up on big jumps... once i replaced the shock oil in the front and i was in a rush to get it on the track, so i did it on the side of the track... bad idea, i put it on and i think the first or second time around on the jump, booom, both shocks blew out, it was kind of cool to see...

I have a little Raptor 30 that I'm learning to handle. Somehow flying RC helicopters is harder than the real thing. I've been toying with the idea of getting a little electri park flyer. I always liked the idea of getting a small cub perhaps. Eventually, I want to work my way up to the turbine models :)That Extra 300 must be fun. Do you have any pictures?

has added a new journalI enjoy R/C cars, they come in electric as well as gas powered... i don't know how many Muslims might be aware of the hobby, but i myself enjoy it... Although it can get a bit expensive, but hey, if you smash it at over 50 miles an hour, you might total it and not get insurance to pay you back, but you are least likely to get hurt... unless of course you smash it into yourself... but it's still not like smashing a hooked up car that you are driving... and much cheaper than that as well :)
