has added a new journalSo i've heard that the legacy gt is faster than the cars i just listed... so i decided to put it to a little test :)
A few weeks back i went to NYC in the scoobie....challenged by a 300xi AND a boxster on LIE. It was close, but an inch is an inch, isn't it? 2 different occasions that is.
Then i see 2 black g35 coupes cruising together on van wyck expwy.. one of them was up for it (as indicated by his hazards).... very close.. i thought the g35 would be faster.
for the price, cant beat the legacy... but looks wise, g35 takes over.
whatever, i was bored so i thought i'd share

I think the legacy has a subtle yet aggressive look, i don't like the headlights of the G35... that's my 2 cents...

Here's a lil story I posted in the "car-lovers" village to bring all them BMW/Mercedes/Lexus snobs back down to size when they were discussing what is the best kind of car to get under 35K....ya know, because they were gettin a lil out of hand ;-)
"As us Chicagoans know, it gets very ugly here in the winter. A couple of months ago I was driving back from school to the place where I live off-campus. It was lightly snowing, and on the way there is this very small-grade hill (I'm talking about a very small, measly gradual upward incline). As I was driving up, I saw this BMW Z4 slowly sliding down backwards, wheels spinning furiously as the driver tried to accelerate to go forward!! I woulda stopped to help, but the guy driving it, Henry M. Bowles III, is a real jerk. So I just laughed meniacly as I zoomed past him and up the hill. I laughed at him for being a jerk, and his "BMW, The Ultimate Driving Machine" for not even being able to make it up that measly hill. THAT is why I would go with an AWD Subaru over any FWD or RWD Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, whatever...Anyday!"
Sigh...that day I was soooo proud of my subie!!

Haha! That's AWESOME! Yeah, I noticed that after my little comment about how AWD is better than anything european luxury can offer, no one really said anything of substance..and they sorta just ignored it and subtly switched the topic. haha! Oh well...another score for subies! If we can't beat them in the village, we'll beat them out on the road, where it really counts!

I love it!!! I own a 98 2.5 RS, and last winter, when Chicago got like 8" of snow in 10 hours and the IDOT guys were picking their noses, I was shooting down the Kennedy past this BMW 330xi whose suspension and low clearance couldn't handle the snow. He tried to gun it to keep up, but he kept sliding his tail coz he couldn't get a grip. The best part was the S turn by Addison; he nearly hit the wall and I just drifted through. Every time I drift this car, I can't stop smiling. It's handling is so perfectly balanced, it's amazing. Why would I buy anything else? Naveen, forget the "Car-talk" village. They're obsessed with european imports and luxury cars - they care more about the image than the engineering. It's more about the fantasy than reality. I've pointed out the STi's supremacy many times, and they just dismiss or ignore it coz there's really nothing to say.

has added a new journalI know this village is for "subaru lovers" but seriously... for those of you who know ANYTHING about AWD rally cars.. which one would you get? Personally, even though i have a Subaru and love it... umm i think i'd go with the evo mr

I have a 2005 STi and I love it to death!!!! When I was buying it I test drove an EVO and a R32, and none of them had the slingshot acceleration that the STi has. But I do respect the MR. You can not compare a MR with the STi, you have to compare with the Spec C or the S203. A STi is the same class as the normal EVO.The only thing I want to change about my STi is the suspension, so I wanna inshAllah get the Cusco Zero-2. Then when my warranty goes out I want to go with a setup similar to the STi that KingPin tuned to 513 WHP!!! www.honda-tech.com
But basically if you want a quality car go with Subaru, but if you don't care and wanna deal with headaches then choose Mitsu. :-)

i think the STi Spec C actually has better numbers than the EVO, at least the FQ300... check the January 2005 issue of Sport Compact Car... and evos are having issues with the clutches...
