  • Hey guys, I have been talking to some of the naseebers and I think it would be a great idea to have a get together in NYC some time in April. We can pick a weekend where we can maybe dedicate the whole weekend with fun filled events, such as dinner/lunch, bowling/laser tag, museum and going to a club/lounge at night. Let me know what you guys think. We will need some event coordinators.

    March 28, 2006 at 6:19pm

  • That night, the director of the camp informed us that with the temperatures dropping, and the illnesses multiplying, medicines were running in short supply. He would have to start reaching out to people in order to fill the void. Monday December 12th 2005: Snow has covered the mountains surrounding Balakot. At night, the temperature drops to -15 degrees as families huddle close together to keep warm. The tents provided by the relief organizations do little to keep the cold wind from blowing through. • And another thing, there is an election happening in Canada which has about 10 more days left but it is all over now as the Progressive Conservatives will become the new ruling party by dislodging the ruling Liberals. However, the battles for individual ridings still carry a lot of drama! Case in point is one former Harvard International Relations prof who is touted to be groomed as the next Liberal PM. Michael Ignatieff parachuted into a Toronto riding and is being hounded when exposed for supporting 'to... Read More

  • Martyrdom of Muslim ibne Aqeel Al-Husayn, peace be upon him, summoned Muslim bin Aqil and dispatched him to Kufa. Muslim, the mercy of God be on him, departed until he came to Medina. There he prayed in the mosque of the Apostle of God, may God bless him and his family, and said farewell to the dearest members of his family. He went on until he entered Kufa. There he stayed in the house of al-Mukhtar bin Abi Ubayda, which is called today the house of Muslim bin al-Musayyib. Muslims began to come regularly ... Read More

  • The first martyr of the tragedy of Karbala : Shaheed-e-Kufa , Hazrat Muslim Ibne-Aqeel Imam Husain A.S with His holy caravan or I should say, His holy army had left the city of Madina as He had refused to yield to Yazid. From Madina the caravan approached Mecca on the 3rd of Shabaan in 60 A.H. When Yazid was informed about the arrival of Imam Husain A.S in Mecca , he began his scheme for how to kill Imam Husain A.S in this holy city of Kaaba. Our holy Imam stayed in Mecca for 4 months. • Assalamu Alaikum and Eid Mubarak All :) I have been in Kansas for a few days for work and I prayed Eid prayer here, and I noticed something interestingly different here which is that there is a high number of converts that attend the masjid, specifically caucasian sisters.
