1. When things don't go your way, go another way. 2. When you think you can't take any more, change your attitude to, "Bring it on." 3. As soon as you start thinking how bad you have it, start thinking what a great day it is because you didn't see your name in today's obituary. 4. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is your life. Make everyday a masterpiece regardless of the challenges you face.

*Dedicated to all the drunkards of the potion of love* *Open lamentations in all form are Welcome* Never durst poet touch a pen to write Until his ink were temper'd with Love's sighs; O, then his lines would ravish savage ears And plant in tyrants mild humility. All days are nights to see till I see thee, And nights bright days when dreams do show thee me. Doubt thou the stars are fire; Doubt that the sun doth move; Doubt truth to be a liar; But never doubt I love. ... Read More

I went to see Jonny last friday at Brixton's finest, The Carling Academy. I have to say he was a very good performer and I enjoued the evening a lot, even tho I couldnt see much for most of it. Towards the end we snuch up on to the balcony and had a great view of john. I was surprised to know that he did the OoOOOoOOOO on the background of the alicia keys track " U dont know my name" cos that really sounds like a woman to me. also his real name is something like John Stevens. www.johnlegend.com

Life in Maulana_Rumi
This poem reminds me of how some times we need stop in our busy day and simply look at the life around us and in us too. Rejoice in sorrow; it will unite you with God. Bow down and reach the highest peak. Turn inward, toward the heart, and delight in the green shade of trees and many gushing springs. by Rumi

Several months ago Yusuf Ul Islam aka Cat Stevens (great singer) was on the news for being disembarked from his flight because they thought his name was suspicious. Immigration officers obviously did not know him as a celebrity. Anyways this journal is not about him, rather after seeing him I was prompted to think about whether a person must necessarily change their name if they convert to Islam. I really don't think there is such a thing as a purely Islamic name. We tend to confuse language with religion. Urdu,... Read More

One of my cousins recently told me with much delight that her mother had purchased some rare diamond containing diamond jewelry for her dowry and I really did not know how to respond. I don't understand womens preoccupation with jewelry, the engagement ring solitaire and all those things, I just don't understand. How does shiny stuff create so much happiness, its shiny, and rare but it has no utility. Well ok it can make us look pretty, but honestly for most women out there, weightloss is far more beautifying an... Read More
