  • Assalamu Alaikum, I recently developed an interest in reading about Jehovah's witnesses after coming in contact with a few of them through personal knowledge and debates. Theologically speaking they have many alien beliefs, even to the majority of the traditional Christian denominations...They basically interpret the Bible through the evolving paradigm of their Governing Body, a group based in Brookly NY. In issues dealing with religion, Jehovah's Witnesses are quite stubborn and hard to reason with as ... Read More

  • "Today, world peace is such that all countries are under the political influence of the superpowers; they observe a control everywhere and have schemes for defeating every group. The most important of these is sowing discord among brothers. Muslims should be awake, Muslims should be alert that if a dispute takes place among Sunni and Shi'ite brothers, it is harmful to all of us, it is harmful to all Muslims. Those who want to sow discord are neither Sunni nor Shi'ite, they are agents of the superpowers and ... Read More

  • Shia-Sunni conflict and sectarian terrorism is tearing our community apart. The Quran, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, the Kaba and the five pillars of Islam are common to Shias and Sunnis. That is why no one in Islamic history has stopped Shias from performing Hajj, although the Kaba has always been in the control of Sunnis. Even today, when those currently in charge of the Kaba are part of a predominantly Salafi establishment, Shias like other Muslims are free to perform Hajj. S... Read More

  • The Nature of Al-Qa'im and his Army of Anger Of all of the issues pertaining to Islamic eschatology, none is more popularly discussed than that of the Rise of the Imam al-Mahdi. Shi'a and non-Shi'a alike are in agreement on the issue that at the end of the Age the Mahdi will emerge and fill the Earth with Justice just as it has previously been filled with oppression. Where the two do not meet is on the issue of the lineage of Al-Imam Al-Qa'im and of regarding the specificity with which Shi'a Ahadith detail th... Read More

  • Ever come across someone who acts like master of something but in real life, that person knows nothing about it. For example, I know couple of people, who are horrible people, not only horrible but had many unsuccessful relationships and none of them last more then couple of months. YET, you always see them out there giving advices on relationships and how to be successful. Similarly, one of my acquaintance lost great deal of money in network marketing and other get rich quick scams. But that doesn't stop them... Read More

  • So Jibran Tweini's assassination marks the 15th car bombing since Harriri's Assassination in Feb 05...what's happening in leb is pretty weird and gloomy to say the least... i know everyone jumps to blame syria immediately but they'd be pretty stupid to make it that obvious especially with the US on their case... someone is framing them and with emotions hot after 30 year of Syrian occupation the Lebanese are falling for it...nasty stuff. Then we have all this gigantic globalization spirit mobilizing and trying ... Read More

  • This is my favourite sterephonics song out of the ones I've heard. I listen to it when I'm driving to work in the morning. Love the part when he goes.....You made me feel like the one....you made me feel like the one... the one...and also.....I don't know where we are going now.....and the guitars kick in and it gets really heavy. Just thought that I would share that with you.

  • Hey, I heard somewhere that BL valued situps more than anything in his workouts. He even shelled out big bucks for the portable electric sit-up simulator that would hook electrodes to your abs and simulate sit-ups. (Not that expensive now, but back in ~1974 it was mucho dinero). Rumor has it that he had it hooked up almost half of every day. I think he valued a powerful core more than anything, 'cause Jeet Kune Do philosophy is that all power flows from the abs or "gut." Since I follow JKD, I've taken up t... Read More

  • Dear Vikram, How are you and your mother? I hope, God Willing, all is well. I want to thank you, Vikram, for what you have done. You befriended my father in Delhi, & shopped for him. You even had him to your home; he told me. Vikram, you even gave my father a gift- you didn?t have to do that. It was a gift strange to the American eye; a gift of wood: two small statues. One was of a human with an elephant?s head. The other was of a woman. You know Vikram, my Dad?s from D.C., straight from the O... Read More
