recent cancer finding indicates: www.cancerhelp.org.uk Vegetarians are known to be at a lower risk for several types of cancer, particularly bowel when compared to meat eaters. But is this due to the vegetables themselves or just that vegetarians do not eat meat and tend to have a healthier lifestyle in general? We do not really know. Diets higher in fruit and vegetables tend to be lower in meat and fat anyway. But eating more vegetables does seem to lower risk of bowel c... Read More

Alhamdulillah, there are more and more Muslims coming out of law school every year. But the Muslim legal community in the US is still in its infancy. Here in the DC area, most Muslim lawyers are either with established firms, in government, or in solo/small practice (like myself.) How did White & Case, or Baker & McKenzie, get to be so big? ... Read More

A man asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday. "I'd Love to be eight again." she replied. On the morning of her birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Coco Pops, and then took her off to the local theme park. What a day! He put her on every ride in the park: * the Death Slide, * the Wall of Fear, * the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, * every thing there was. Five hours later she staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down. Right awa... Read More

I wore these sandals to a gala and met the President. I also got to dance with Don King. They are very cute, but hurt after 3 hours. especially if youre dancing and are a dorkarina like me. I love Baker's. Since they are brocade, I wore a lemon yellow camisole under a black business suit with a lemon yellow beaded clutch. www.bakersshoes.com

Sometimes making that transition to a vegetarian or vegan diet can be tough. What are some things that you have done to make it easier? Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.
