  • Ash in Indie

Perusing through the listening stations at Tower Records last night, I came accross a new album by the band Ash. Remember them back in the 90's? They scored hits with "Kung Fu" and "Girl from Mars". But then they disappeared until now. I listened to part of the album, I was thoroughly unimpressed. They seem to have sold out and sound like every other rock band out there nowadays like Chevelle or Korn.

  • I would like to propose a party that makes a clear cut with the past and embraces the present, temporal existence. LMP recognizes that change is not merely inevitable, but it has to be embraced continually. This would mean that there really cannot be any defined points in the form of a manifesto. However, a charter that doesn?t undercut the inherent inspiration of the party follows: 1. LMP sees the present as great improvement over the past. Despite the reckless behavior of humanity the past centu... Read More

  • "This is the Book in which there is no doubt. It is a guide for those who are God conscious, who believe in the Unseen, who establish regular prayers, and spend in charity out of what We have provided for their sustenance; who believe in this Revelation (the Quran) sent to you (O Muhammad) and the Revelations that were sent before you, and firmly believe in the Hereafter. They are on True Guidance from their Lord and they are the ones who will attain salvation." The Holy Quran, 2:2-5

  • Caged animals! I think caring for animals is one thing BUT caging them and depriving them of their free will is another!

  • Andrex Quilts 'Free cabs for women' Campaign Starting on May 30th and running until Friday 3rd June, women in London will be able to catch cabs in Zones 1 & 2 for free. Not all cabs, of course, but those that are engaged in promotion for the new Andrex Quilts campaign. It's not going to be difficult to spot the fleet of pale lilac and white taxis - largely because they're that colour, seemingly wrapped in what looks like a soft quilt and featuring everyone's favourite advertising puppy seemingly asleep on the... Voici un petit exercice de prononciation pour vous francophiles et francophones inv?t?r?s (to say out loud, many times as fast as possible): "Un chasseur sachant chasser sans son chien est un chasseur m?me sans chien naseebien" the last bit has been... • I'm going back to Srinagar for the first time in 7 years. Last time I went there were still curfews and road blacks and everyone was on high alert. What I want to know is has it improved? Is is safer? Will I be able to go to Gulmarg and all the other tourist destinations, or will I be forced to go out during the day and back home before it gets dark? Any advice, or recommendations of places to see while I'm there (that are off the tourist trail) would be appreciated!!

    June 7, 2005 at 1:32pm
I will write a holiday diary of the places I see and the things I do which I will share with you all. If you're really lucky, I might even put up a few photos of Mowj Kashmir!
