Is it just me or are there just too many VEs in this village? I am finding that I am developing pain in my fingers from trying to keep up with all the villages! They are all really good and I'd like to participate but even as a full time naseeber, I think I'm gonna have a breakdown... Keep your thoughts/ideas for a VE to yourself until some of the existing ones drift away from the subject area.. Or maybe I'm just getting old!!! :(

Wow... I'm really surprised that this book hasn't been mentioned in this village yet. This is a great book. It chronicles the life of an Afghani girl, Farah Ahmedi, in her own words and her struggles living in Afghanistan as she tries to persist despite numerous and seemingly insurmountable obstacles. What I enjoy the most is that the book is non-fiction and that the accounts are written by a Muslim (an true insider's view) of a very recent Afghanistan and a real voice for the problems going on there. It is... Read More

The Lone Ranger and Tonto were camping out one night. Tonto, after having a very bad dream, woke up to see the stars up above him. He woke the Lone Ranger and said to him, "What you think?" The Lone Ranger replies reassuringly, "Well, Tonto, it's like this, God gives us miracles in life. Each day is a new beginning, just like every night there's a new star in the sky. What do you think?" Tonto looks at him, confused and says, "Tonto thinks someone stole tento."
