  • Or vice versa. I used to think not, but have been shown how it _is_ appropriate here. It just so happens that any conversation on sunni-shi'a differences comes to rest on this difference, because of its undeniable interest to every muslim, young or old, sunni or shia, or even (as in my own case,) shunni. Muta, technically, is defined as temporary marriage within islam; also called "Sigah/segeh/segheh". Same rules and requirements as Nikah, with the two subtle alterations that: 1) The "Gift", or Meh'r, w... Read More

  • A'salam, I've been thinking about where i stand on the issue of wearing hijab, but i am still not sure. What do you all think? Is it really that important? Can you still go to Heaven even if you don't wear a hijab and where exactly does it say in the quran to wear a hijab!!! I would really appriciate you comments :) A'salam May Allah show us all the right path.

  • I just happened to read the nasty things you said to some very lovely people in this village. You know, it's a real shame to see how desperate you have become. You have resorted to insulting other people just to make yourself feel good about yourself. You make DISGUSTING comments to other people that don't need your mouth. Ironically, when I look at your profile, all I see is a 30 yr old, single, Master's degree, jobless individual. So what do you have to be so gleeful about? There's a hadith about a man... Read More

  • Recently tried this guy out, I know it looks like the WWII Genre of shooters is being played out, but BiA has certainly tackled the genre from a completely different direction. With awesome graphics, sound, and gameplay, the game certainly better than your average Medal of Honor or Call of Duty. However, unlike the MoHAAS or CoD Brotherhood changes the dynamic by not bringing the brunt of responsibiity on the player. Actually the game forces you to, instead of being rambo and saving the day, work inside your ... Read More

  • I just recently rented from Blockbuster a documentary on Palestinian and Israeli children. A journalist followed 7 children that live both Israel and Palestinian territory. In speaking about the conflict many people seem to forget the children that our involved. We tend to overlook that the children living in that area become extremely affected by the situation, both Israeli and Palestinian children. The journalist that shot this documentary, did a great job on equally representing both sides. I highly recommend... Read More
