  • My mother used to ask me what is the most important part of the body. Through years I would take a guess at what I thought was the correct answer. When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, "My ears, Mommy." She said, 'No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon.' Several years passed before she asked me again. Since making my first attempt, I had contemplated the correct answer. So this time I told her, 'Mommy, sight is v... Read More

  • ah yes, many, many people wonder . . . 'vhat are the 5 rivers?' but the answer is not just what are the 5 rivers (the five rivers actually being the pind, the sind, the ghengis, the potomac and the caspian sea)---is that right Amjad?)---but when the pot thinks of them, he thinks the five rivers, aka 'punjabi way of life' represent more . . . a life of honor, of virtue, of ethics (as long as it doesn't hurt the pocketbook), of discipline (as long as discipline starts after 10 in the morning and 11:30 on weekends)... • The Truth Ok, let?s be truthful now. Maybe things won?t work out the way we all hoped for. Maybe, peace will never come to Iraq because of our fellow ?loving? Arab and Iraqi brothers and sisters. Maybe our people will never agree on one thing because we just don?t fit each other?s criteria. However, who knows what will happen? Can we be certain that things won?t be the way it?s supposed to be in Iraq? Can we be certain that Iraq will be a successful rich country? I guess the best way to not be disappointed o... • I'm entering a new phase in my life where it is hard to discover yourself. People just assume you are a kid...maybe I have some childlike instincts but I'm trying to set myself in different environments to learn more and build a strong character/personality. Being on the east coast in particular, I get disgusted as weeks pass. I come across people that are just sooo soo out there that they make me look stable. How can one lift his/herself up once they get let/put down? You refuse to do something because ... Read More
