  • Some of you may have noticed that the notorious and headline grabbing political extremist party called Hizb ut-Tahrir has or soon will be banned in the UK. In recent years, it had already been banned in some European countries such as Germany and Denmark, and I dear say good riddance to them! For far to long, the UK Muslim youth have been in-doctored with views that an ?Islamic State? is the only way to save them from their day-to-day issues. Oh Really?? Have we ever put education first, second or ev... Read More

  • Does anyone know the reason behind some of the bad words? for example, the middel finger! did you know the story behind it? Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous weapon was made of the native English Yew tree, and the a... Read More

  • Judging by the thickness of the book and from the characteristic, anomalous smell of its newness, I could not wait for Harry Potter's success story to unravel before me. It was with great mirth that I started the book. Seeing the jet black cover of the first printed edition of the adult version with Harry Potter shining, golden letters partially meant that many answers will be found to the great interrogation marks set over the last chapters of Book 5. The first few pages, chapters dragging onto about half o... Read More

  • I had the wonderful opportunity to attend an event where Salman (of Junoon) released his first solo album- Infiniti. Listening to it now, it's off the hook! Just wanted to share. PS: Aside from being an exceptionally talented musician, he's an advocate for the arts in Pakistan... using his music to foster dialogue and display a moderate side of Islam. -------------------- Salman's thoughts on the album: The title infiniti has to do with us humans living a paradoxical life. We limit ourselves in rela... Read More

  • I came across this article.......thought it'd make for interesting reading...for those with an open mind :P Only conspiracy theorists would believe the government wasn't involved The wealth of evidence that has emerged in the month following the 7/7 London bombings only leads us to one clear conclusion, that the attacks had to have been orchestrated by or with help from the very highest levels of British intelligence. The latest piece of evidence to suggest that the official story is a fraud focuses aga... Read More

  • I saw this on the BBC webiste...and thought it might make for good discussion over here... Israeli soldiers have begun issuing eviction orders to Jewish settlers in the Gaza Strip. The residents have two days to leave of their own accord before force is used. Around 8,000 settlers from Gaza are preparing for evacuation, along with hundreds more from four West Bank settlements. This is the first time Israel has dismantled settlements built on Palestinian land seized in the 1967 Middle East War. W... Read More
