  • Probably best known for his soundtrack to Amelie, Yann Tierson composes some beautiful melodies. He also composed the music for the subtle and amusing German movie, 'Good Bye, Lenin!' starring the lovely Daniel Br?hl. I have two of his albums including a live in concert album which is just brilliant! My favourite tune is 'La valise d'Amelie' but his other music is just as sublime too. www.yanntiersen.com

I like Agoria, I think they are best described as 'experimental' though they definately have a dance vibe. I also like 'Experience' who are another french experimental music group.

  • I've always loved taking photographs. My father bought me my first camera when I was 14. It was a lovely black Minolta camera with autofocus and flash and it had a red and black strap. I used to take photos wherever I went. I've always loved looking at other people's photos too, even if I don't know the people in them. I came across this site and just thought it was wonderful! People upload a photograph of themselves as a child and then one later in life. I love the nostalgia that these pictures create,... Read More

  • Husband takes his wife to play her first game of golf..... Of course, the wife promptly hacked her first shot right through the window of the biggest house adjacent to the course. The husband cringed, "I warned you to be careful! Now we'll have to go up there, find the owner, apologize and see how much your lousy drive is going to cost us." So the couple walked up to the house and knocked on the door. A warm voice said, "Come on in." When they opened the door they saw the damage that was done. Glass ... Read More

  • Very nice story to spread to... One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay for his hungry stomach, decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. On the way through school, he found he had only one thin dime left and he was very hungry. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. The woman thought he looked hungry, so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How mu... Read More

  • My favourite and most treasured book as a child (until the pages started falling out) was Edward Lear's 'Book of Nonsense'. I loved the drawings and the silly limericks. I'd love to get another copy of it, I really miss this book. www.nonsenselit.org

  • My most favourite cinema in London has to be The Prince Charles Cinema (PCC). It's situated just off of Leicester Square and though it only has one screen, it showcases an interesting concoction of homegrown film, foreign cinema, documentary and not to mention the karaoke style musical 'Sing-a-longs'. It's amazingly cheap too, with tickets starting at just ?1! I paid a one off fee of ?15 to become a lifetime member a few years back when they were raising funds to refurbish the place. The membership also give... Read More

  • What I want to know is how important is it for one to be a virgin?.doesn?t matter if you?re a Freshie or a British Born. How important is it for the guy that the girl is a virgin, and do the girls care if the guys is a virgin or not. Is there even such a thing as a virgin male anymore? Is it pretty difficult to find a virgin female. Another question?..what are you thought on the typical guy who?s not a virgin but is looking for a virgin wife.

  • Frenchman, Englishman and New Yorker A Frenchman, an Englishman, and a New Yorker get captured by cannibals. The Chief comes to them and says, "The bad news is that now that we've caught you, we're going to kill you. We will put you in a pot and cook you, then we'll eat you, and then we'll use your skins to build a canoe. The good news is that you get to choose how you die." The Frenchman says, "I take ze sword." The chief gives him a sword, the Frenchman cries "Vive la France!" and runs himself th... Read More
