Normally, any attempt to copy the Godfather classic would be met with extreme skepticism and even outright disdain. Yet, for some reason you wish this movie had maintained an even stronger likeness to Cappola's classic. Sarkar unwittingly tries to express it's uniqueness and this is where it falls. It demonizes Sunny's equivalent from the get-go and completely ignores the need to build any familial bonds with the estranged brother. In fact, the entire treatment of the elder brother's role is a huge d... Read More

The show "Desperate Housewives" is my topic and since it is primarliy a chick show I came to the right place. I watched all of season 1 for the first time over the summer and was hooked since the first episode. It was pretty awesome I must say. BUT..... So far Season 2 sucks @ss it lacks mystery and suspense that season 1 had. Anyone else feel the same?
December 27, 2005 at 4:31pmI haven't seen this show at all yet. But my parents like it. I guess you also CSI Miami?December 27, 2005 at 6:11amI loved Season 1 but then I had a son so haven't watched since. I also heard its not that good.

If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of its ability to fly, will be an absolute prisoner. The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet. Without space to run, as is its habit, it will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner for life in a small jail with no top. The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkably nimble creature in the air, cannot take off from a level pl... Read More

"The name 'Persia' has long been used by the West to describe the nation of Iran, its people, or its ancient empire. It derives from the ancient Greek name for Iran, Persis. This in turn comes from a province in the south of Iran, called Fars in the modern Persian language and Pars in Middle Persian. Persis is the Hellenized form of Pars, based on which other European nations termed the area Persia. This province was the core of the original Persian Empire. Westerners referred to the state as Persia until March ... Read More

After 36 seasons on ABC, MNF comes to a close tonight and ends its unprecedented run on network television, a series finale of sorts if you will. It will relocate to ESPN starting next season. Probably without Al Michaels and John Madden. Maddens lose won?t be as big as losing Michaels who?s been a staple on that show. What are you memories of MNF, thoughts, comments?
December 27, 2005 at 2:11pmMadden signed with NBC, to do Sunday Night Football. They havent announced a play-by-play guy yet.December 27, 2005 at 10:37ami agree, ESPN needs to keep those clowns away from MNF. I certainly don't want to see it getting destroyed. It won't take too long for ppl to quit watching.December 27, 2005 at 9:10amMonday Night Football on ABC started with NY Jets losing 31-21 to Cleveland Browns and it ends with NY Jets losing 31-21 to New England Patriots.

I have been hearing a lot of news on how the WWE is in Afghanistan to entertain the soldiers there but was wondering what kind of impact this must set on Afghans? I at first thought it was hilarious but than when I saw some Afghan bystanders I was interested on knowing what they could possibly be thinking about Americans now. I was a little disappointed at some of the comments made but in all do you think having the soldiers still there is making any difference? What about bringing in Americanized entertainment?... Ever since I was a small girl of 3 or 4 years of age, I have been utterly and uneqivocally fascinated by the vampires of legend. Taken from www.chebucto.ns.ca "Vampire myths go back thousands of years and occur in almost every culture around the world. Their variety is almost endless; from red eyed monsters with green or pink hair in China to the Greek Lamia which has the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a winged serpent; from vampire foxes in Japan to a head ... My mum has 6 siblings so you can imagine how stemmed it got. So this friend of mine declares that 4/5 babies is a lot, its cute to think about but too many but not have that many. ); ermm yes . I watched this film last night and have to say that it is one of the best horror films I have seen in recent times, actually, come to think of it, for a very long time. The story is about three young people, 2 British girls and an Australian guy who go out on a trip in the Australian outback to see a place called "Wolf Creek". Wolf Creek is a kind of national park area in the australian outback and at the centre of it is a massive crater where apparently a meteorite crashed. The three of them eventually ge... Read More

From the Kitab al-Was?'il by Isma'il Ibn Sawdak?n, edited and translated into German by Manfred Profitlich, Freiburg, 1973. It is the book of questions Ibn Sawdak?n asked his Master and the answers Ibn 'Arabi gave. 27. Have you not heard the allusion made by Abu Yazid , may God have mercy upon him, when he said, "I stayed with those who struggle with themselves, but I could not see a way with them; I stayed with those who fast and pray, through countless spiritual stations, parta...
