  • Suffering is a gift. In it is hidden mercy. ~Rumi What do you make of suffering, that of others and your own?

    January 28, 2006 at 1:58pm
So we ought to ask for more suffering, start enjoying it? I don't like these sadistic paradigms. Suffering is a call for some true action on your part.
    January 12, 2006 at 3:57am
good point ... so its basically a mercy from individual self-decadence then !? - so you suffer, "deplete yourself", in a way, to stop yourself from "depleting" in another. ;)
    January 9, 2006 at 9:22pm
Rumi's point being suffering can make real men (or women, didn't mean to sound sexist ;)) out of us. It can make us stronger individuals since you learn and adapt to tough s...

  • Doug Flutie made the first successful drop kick for the extra after a touchdown since 1941 last Sunday. I thought they should have let try for another drop kick for an extra point instead of going for the traditional two point conversion after a touchdown. Now that would have been something.

  • Podcast: Sunni Shaikh censored for Loving the Ahlul Bayt (as) ----------------------------------- ------------------------------ Imam Abdul Alim Musa of Masjid al-Islam (Washington, DC) has received much criticism for his outspoken lectures on the Ahlul Bayt (as). This lecture by far is most amazing and compelling stories of a convert who was lied to and deceived by the "imams" that brought him to Islam in prison. The books they gave to him, he says, delibrately had mistranslations so to mask the importance o... Read More

The logic behind this rule was that the equation balances out if one considers that a woman will p... Read More
