  • Do you think that there is a correlation between religiousness and economic prosperity? Feel free to use examples from all religions include Islam. Also, Please define and differentiate between good religiousness and bad religiousness.

    May 7, 2005 at 12:40am
No, there isn't a correlation. And there are plenty of people who aren't religious and are still more decent and moral than the average religious person out there.

I covered exactly this topic in my JE titled "Opium for the masses"...you might like to check it out! :)

  • I always wondered why is it that many Arabs have low self-esteem? espicially ones who migrate to western countries, it's kinda like the thing with some african american brothers, how some of them look down on their homeland back in Africa. I also find it very distrubing when Arabs who live in western cultures descriminate against their own people backhome, if you grew up in this country, why in the world you would think u are superior to a person who grew up hearing the call of Allahu Akbar five times a day in a... • Any comments or recommendations regarding side projects by current or former members of DM? I have Recoil's second album, "Bloodline", which has some really good tracks and collaborations on it. BTW Recoil = Alan Wilder, in case you didn't know. Martin Gore's "Counterfeit" was pretty good... I haven't heard "Counterfeit 2" or Dave Gahan's "Paper Monsters". Are either of these albums worth getting?

  • Okay, so it may be difficult to pin down just one favorite DM song, but surely you must have a single favorite DM album that you feel is better than the rest. For me, it's "Music For The Masses". What's yours?

  • Been to a DM concert? If so, when and where? I went to two of their concerts when I was in high school... they were part of the lengthy "Music For The Masses" tour. Both shows were in Chicago... one was at the UIC Pavilion in Dec 1987, and the other was at Poplar Creek in May 1988. OMD opened for DM at the 2nd gig.

    July 3, 2006 at 3:29am
    So how was the show?
    April 24, 2006 at 6:14pm

  • Animals have feelings, they have families, they feel hungry, sad or happy, they love their children, they have every right to live a life on this earth as we do. Have you seen ants and the way they work in trying to gather food for the community, such a small brain and yet the tasks the ants perform is commendable. Every life has meaning.
