  • i was just curious to hear some your feedback on instances where you've pre-maturely judged someone and later on found out that you were TOTALLY wrong and felt really bad for judging that particular person. What initialy was it that caused you to judge that person(physically, mentally..)? and how has it changed, or not changed, how you interact with people in general? Please feel free to share your stories! don't worry, we won't judge (H)

  • Chelsea have made a British record ?32m bid for Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, say newspaper reports. The offer would eclipse the ?29.1m Manchester United paid to Leeds for Rio Ferdinand in 2002. Liverpool are reported to have responded by offering the midfielder a two-year contract extension to 2009 on ?100,000 a week. Is Stevie going to bolt?

    July 10, 2005 at 1:01am
Tottenham are interesting. Seems like they've signed every up and coming English player under 24. Be nice if they could do well and challenge with a young squad like Leeds did a...

  • Updated: 2:18 p.m. ET July 1, 2005 LOS ANGELES - Not all dazzling fireworks displays will be on Earth this Independence Day. NASA hopes to shoot off its own celestial sparks in an audacious mission that will blast a stadium-sized hole in a comet half the size of Manhattan. It would give astronomers their first peek at the inside of one of these heavenly bodies. If all goes as planned, the Deep Impact spacecraft will release a wine barrel-sized probe on a suicide journey, hurtling toward the comet Temp... Read More

  • St. Peter and the Blonde Some ecclesiastical gentlemen -- a cardinal, a couple of bishops and some others -- were waiting outside the Pearly Gates for St. Peter to open up. He finally arrived, but just they were about to enter heaven St. Peter asked them to wait a moment and let a new arrival through first. A sweet young thing in a mini-skirt arrived and was ushered through. The cardinal was a bit upset about this and demanded an explanation from St. Peter. After all, they had been waiting outside for ... Read More

  • Masjid ad-Diraar (the mosque of harm) By 'Abd ul-Muntaqim Masjid ud-Diraar is a mosque whose sole purpose is to harm the believers, spread kufr concepts, cause disunity and harbour those who are at war with Allah and his Messenger (saw). The first Masjid ad-Diraar in the history of Islam was built just before the battle of Tabook, established by the evil Abu 'Aamir ar-Raahib and located approximately one hour away from the city of al-Madeenah. Abu 'Aamir ordered his munaafiqeen comrades who were re... Read More

  • I really really miss it. I've been away from it for 6 months yet it feels like yesterday that I first set my eyes on that beautiful home that stays in my heart. It is like yesterday I said my salams to the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) and visited his grave. It is like yesterday I was on Mount Arafat making pure du'a to our Creator and sending blessings to His Beloved (pbuh). It was like yesterday I drank from Zamzam's pure spring. It was like yesterday I bid that blessed land good bye. Please mak... Read More

  • Hi, I'm thinking about majoring in accounting but I just wanted to know a little more about it before I make up my mind. So if there are any accountants out there *or people majoring in it right now* let me know what it's all about, what my strengths need to be in, anything to expect, or tips to get me through it. Thanks :) -Noura *You can email your response to me as well, I don't mind*

  • I was talking to a cab driver this past week, and we got to talking about different arab communities, I mentioned that the palestinians for example are very close knit, but the Egyptian community in whatever city you go to, is very disjointed, he agreed. It got me thinking why is that? why is it that in every city that I have been to Egyptians always seem to be the least close knit of the muslim communities, is it a case of it's always greener on the other side of the fence?

    July 5, 2005 at 10:57pm
Yeah it might be that things are greener on the other side... maybe it also depends on religion as I've noticed in some (not all) that Muslims and Copts here in the US self segr...

  • Brouwer fixed-point theorem An amazing result in topology and one of the most useful theorems in mathematics. Suppose there are two sheets of paper, one lying directly on top of the other. Take the top sheet, crumple it up, and put it back on top of the other sheet. Brouwer's theorem says that there must be at least one point on the top sheet that is in exactly the same position relative the bottom sheet as it was originally. The same idea works in three dimensions. Take a cup of coffee and stir i... Read More
