I'm currently reading, The Lives of Man by Imam Abdallah Ibn Alawi Al-Haddad. I recommend it for everyone in this village. It is under 100 pages - well written, thorough, spiritual, practical, and concise. In this book Imam Al-Haddad divides man's journey into 5 lives or stages: "The first life began when God created Adam, upon whom be peace, and set in his loins all his descendants, the happy among them, and the wretched. Then each person is continually passed on from loin to womb, and from womb to ... Read More

The arrogance of the nafs is based on knowledge and this is the hardest hijaab to remove as it comes in the guise of wisdom . Surrender means giving up this crutch of the nafs and begging at the door of Mohammed to learn to connect with one who is nearer to us than our jugular vein. The whole kaafi is the story of intimacy of Bulleh Shah with the beloved and his transcendental qualities that he feels with great certainty which lead us to the presence Na maen momin vich maseet aan Na maen vich kufar diyan re... My shaykh sent me this article..I thought I'd share it with everyone (Extracts from teaching of Grand Sheikh Muhaiyadeen Abdul Khader Jeelani R.A.) Islam stresses honesty, charity, services and other virtues that form solid foundation. A moral, ethical and disciplined lifestyle is like a solid container that can hold mystical experiences without its leaking or dissipating. Sufism without Islam is like a candle burning in the open without a lantern. There are winds which will blow the candle out. B... Read More

Narated By Warrad : (The clerk of Al-Mughira) Muawiya wrote to Al-Mughira 'Write to me what you have heard from Allah's Apostle.' So he (Al-Mughira) wrote to him: Allah's Prophet used to say at the end of each prayer: "La ilaha illalla-h wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul Mulku, wa lahul Hamdu wa hula ala kulli shai'in qadir. 'Allahumma la mani' a lima a'taita, wala mu'tiya lima mana'ta, wala yanfa'u dhuljadd minkal-jadd." He also wrote to him that the Prophet used to forbid (1) Qil and Qal (idle useless talk or tha... Tell me some more jinn stories!! They're facinating. I have some personal experiences that went on in my old house, a couple of years ago. Me and my sisters used to see people walking around our house, going about their business. And we saw the same people. My sisters saw them up close, and are able to remember certain details about them. One of my sisters kept seeing one girl in particular, while my other sister saw a woman in a maroon dress a lot (whom I also saw). Objects also used to dissappear and rea... Read More

Okay, so I solved my issues of gettin a kitten, naming him, ridding him and my house of fleas. (Thanks, guys, for ur advice!) Now, I've got another one that may not be as easy to fix. My kitty Tony Montana is not violent in nature (juxtaposition unintentional). He follows me evverywhere, needs constant human interaction, cries everytime I walk away until I sit down and take him in my lap, and constantly comes to me, kisses me and rubs his fuzzy lil head against my face. In a nutshell, he is extremely loving ... Read More

Iman al-Saadun Friday, 8 July 2005 ----------------------------------- ----------------------------------- ---------- I?m sending this letter to the British people and in particular to the residents of London. For a period of hours, you have lived through moments of desperate anxiety and horror. In those hours you lost a member of your family or a friend, and we wish to tell you in total honesty that we too grieve when human lives pass away. Health and Diet: Don't have enough time to exercise? Delegate duties. This goes for both work and household chores. For starters, make a chart with household tasks and divvy up the responsibilities among family members. Fitness: Where in your life can you plant something? Love Those Limonoids There's a new reason to love your morning glass of orange juice. Orange juice and other sources of citrus are high in limonoids, phytochemicals that studies suggest inhibit the growth of certain types of cancer cells. While research confirming the benefits of limonoids continues, go ahead and drink up; orange juice also is high in heart-healthy potassium, folate, and vitamin C.
