Salaamz peepz. I'm new to this village, and, unfortunately, I don't know much about Arabic music. What I do know is that I lovvve it. I steal my friends' cds, and so I have no idea what or who I'm listening to. But, my passion lies in bellydancing, (I hope to teach it in my basement/studio soon) and so naturally I'm a huuuge fan of tabla beats, especially mixed with beautiful, sensual, romantic voice, flute, and that other instrument that live singers play that looks like an accordion but sounds wayyy better. ... I am needing help in getting some creative minds to see if people actually like to help for once (rather than make money). I am currently involved with a not for profit organization (who just opened) and are in need of a logo, i can come up with one, but that would be not as innovative as all of you guys. The organization is K.A.A.S.H who deals with humanitarian issues. If any of you guys would be interested please shoot me an email at [email protected]

Just so y'all know, naseeb had become such a piece of my life that when I went for Hajj Jan 2005 I prayed for naseeb and naseebers. Specifically that naseeb.com be a reservoir of goodness, that we all elicit goodness in each other and that Muslims influence each other positively here. Naseeb.com has such huge numbers of muslims being exposed to other muslims that it has significant potential to affect and influence each other. Sometimes I worry more about the ummah as represented by certain things written ... Read More

Two words...

I think a sign of real Naseeb celebrity-ism is being able to write a JE with two sentences or even two words or just a link and have tons of comments from it. I've never written a JE with less than 3 paragraphs. That's what it takes for me to roll in the comments :) So if your comment numbers are inversely proportional to the characters used in the text of your JE , then you are truly popular. I'm too verbose for that. Hmm.. lemme try an experiment... hehee

When I was in my first year of Pharmacy, I was late for handing in one of my assignments and rather than ask for an extension, I approached the doc and said really seriously: 'Someone's died in my family.' To which the doc replied: 'Can I have the death certificate please.' Oh my God!!! What the flooda? The next three days, I was visiting graveyards and asking all my friends if someone had died in their family recently. When that didn't work out, I had to contact the lads in Pakistan (no stupid, not ... Read More
