  • I went to India earlier this year, for 6 weeks. I have to say that I loved it. The lifestyle there is so relaxed and easy-going. The overall atmosphere there is that way. Everyday life is not stressful and filled with pressure, the way it is in America. In America, people have careers that they dislike but they stay at their jobs because the money is good. Us Americans are like robots, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. (It's not even 9 to 5 anymore!) All we do is whine about our jobs. Often, we spend much of ... Read More

  • And a woman spoke, saying, "Tell us of Pain." And he said: Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain. And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy; And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields. And you... Read More

What an easy non-controversial way to give you an excuse to talk about the good that is in our religion, including the benefits of Ramadan. www.cair-net.org and www.cair-net.org esp. pages 6-10. I thought this was excellent and am so glad CAIR did this for us. ******************... Read More
