  • I am in an interfaith group that focuses on creativity and spirituality. Part of the grant we got was to travel to an "out of context" experience" learn something and bring it back to the group. The Christians have these wonderful conferences on "spiritual advancement and story telling" " visual art and the soul" and so forth. Does anyone know of any such thing that Muslims might be puttng on, preferably in the US? ANything to do with spiritual development and creative expression. thanks

  • I find that for cookies that the best kinda chip to use is the herhey's chocolate chips. They are lovely milk chocolate and bake nice and softly. Recently i tried the recipe with chopped walnuts and came out really good. The nuts added an extra crunch and the chocolate was still soft. preparation time was about ten minutes and baking time is less than 10. I also took out a tray from the oven to use as a cooling rack and this help to keep the cookies from getting too brown at the bottom, instead they were go... Read More

  • We are aware that in the indian/paki culture when a girl is married she is sent off to live with her husband and his family. She is the main care giver and her role is to take care of everyone and cater to their needs. It's a cultural practise that has existed back home for centuries. Living in extend famlies, some would say started due to poverty and later on became a part of wide-speard culture. I'm curious to know if desi people are still living this way in the western world. I've been out of the desi... Read More

  • Hi! I wanted to get your opinion about DH. I have many friends say that DH is not as good as last year, and Grey's anatomy is better. What do you think? I still enjoy watching DH, and it is getting good. Brie's daughter is getting invovlved with the new family's son, and she is finally dumping George.. He was soo crazy! I wish that Gaby still had her baby bc she was truly gaining motherly instincts.. I can't wait till next week!

  • Strategies for Behavior Students One of the greatest motivators to improve student behavior is to provide an incentive or reward for appropriate behaviors that occur over a defined period of time. Better yet if you let your student/child pick from the list below. Become a helper to the custodian, librarian, another teacher or the office staff. Become a class monitor for a specific area of need e.g., hall monitor, room check monitor, tidy monitor etc. Helping a younger student with a learning task for... Read More
