I really thought Salim had done an excellent job as owner of this village. However, his moderator, TheOutKast is nothing less than a coward who is censorship-happy. He?s kicked out a fellow Bronco-supporter. I dislike censorship and those who commit it are nothing less than insecure cowards who to show they can act, act with immature impulses ? much like stupid Fredo from The Godfather (dunno where that came from, but Theoutkast reminds me of that fool). Here you have a perfectly good village wher... Read More

In M. Night Shyamalan's movie Unbreakable, Elijah Price articulates how the concept of comic book superheroes evolved as an exaggeration ordinary individuals in society who possessed extraordinary abilities of some sort - physical or mental. Its interesting to think about particular abilities you posses and what superhero you see a part of yourself in. For me, its X-Men's Wolverine. Though Wolverine does get injured, he has the ability to heal incredibly quickly. So what superhero are ... Read More

I'm at a point in my life where I'm looking at completing the other half of my deen (getting maried). The sucky thing is that there are only about 44,000 pashtuns in all of north america! Right now I'm facing the prospects of marying an Arab or Desi - which is something I really don't want, but with Pashtuns amounting to only .01% of the total Muslim population here in America, the odds are against me. And yes, we don't know any other pashtuns, and no, I'm not going to marry somebody from the mother land. ... Read More

Asalaamu alaikum. I've read many posts in this village, and I'm having trouble understanding the purpose of this village. If it's to foster intra-faith understanding, the Manichean tone of many posts is troubling, and would seem to lean in the opposite direction. If the goal is to win one side over to the other, the bad reasoning and verbal bullying I've seen wouldn't be the most inviting tactic I can think of. If it's to try to win over the undecided, I can only imagine fear and ignorance being motivating fact... Read More

Updated: 3:41 a.m. ET Nov. 19, 2005 ?S GRAVENWEZEL, Belgium - When it comes to Alpine skiing, Morocco?s Sarah Ben Mansour trains on little more than a molehill. In February, though, she will be amid the Italian peaks, hoping to become the first African woman to ski at the Olympics. At 18, she can only dream about training on real snow, real slopes. Yet she also knows many talented European and American skiers will never make it to the Olympics because their qualifying standards and competition are much tou... Read More

Whilst visiting Shahid316's latest journal 'Professing Love' I came across a link for a site devoted to mullets... Yes, that ever so popular hairstyle that has never really been in style and yet is favoured by many men (often those who are losing hair at the top a la Michael Bolton stylee...). Upon further net inspection I found a whole host of links to the wonderful world of mullets... mullet.com www.mullet.com mulletlovers.com www.mulletlovers.com mulletmadness.com www.mulletmadness....
