  • Ladies and Germs (just kidding!) :P (A) I've noticed that many people visit this village regularly to see what's going on but rarely post anything. Can we please get the # of active villagers to more than just 2? It would be greatly appreciated. We can have just as wonderful, fun, and enlightening discussions in this village as in any other and no, not every topic has to be Pukhtun-related. I encourage you to post as many topics of interest as you would like to see discussed and the rest of us will j... Read More

  • This question has been brought forward time and time again, but i have never seen it answered as effectively, or with a decent enough answer as it should be.. Was Hazrat Ayesha (RA) a 9 year old minor or was she really atleast 18 then at the time of her marriage ... historians have stated the age of Hz Ayesha (RA) about nine/ten.

  • Dear Honda owners, I don't want to race you. That's right, I'm un-interested in trying to challenge you and your faux supercar in a drag race between stoplights downtown. I don't know why you all feel the need to glare at me while the light is red. You don't have to change your grip on the steering wheel like its a pair of motorcycle handlebars, either. You especially don't need to rev your four-cylinder with its loud exhaust system because you might tempt me to want to race you. I don't. What really g... Read More

  • A Programmer and an Engineer were sitting next to each other on an airplane. The Programmer leans over to the Engineer and asks if he wants to play a fun game. The Engineer just wants to sleep so he politely declines, turns away and tries to sleep. The Programmer persists and explains that it's a real easy game. He explains, "I ask a question and if you don't know the answer you pay me $5. Then you ask a question and if I don't know the answer I'll pay you $5." Again the Engineer politely declines an... • After watching last nights BCS Championship game, I'm not sure who the best available player coming into the NFL is in this years draft. I mean I didn't know Vince Young was that damn good! I seriously think that I would take him over Leinart for sure. And I'm even thinking, I may take him over Reggie Bush if i'm Houston. I feel the guy may be a bigger playmaker than Michael Vick and at QB, I think thats priority over a RB as far as rebuilding a franchise thats up in shambles. What do you guys think about t... • trnsl. by Shehzad Saleem According to the Qur?anic directive of Amruhum Shura Baynahum (Their system is based on their consultation, (42:38)), the details of the methodology adopted by the Prophet (sws) and his companions for the participation of the Muslims in the affairs of the state in their own times, keeping in view their social conditions, are based on the following two points: Firstly, Muslims shall be consulted in the affairs of state through their leaders in whom they profess confidence. • Has anybody driven the MB C350? I have a magazine review about it and they're really raving about it. It's got a 268hp V6 with a very nice-shifting 6-speed stick (optional auto, of course). It's heavy, at about 3500 pounds, but I guess that's the trade-off for luxury and sound insulation. Overall it seems like a great package at a nice price ~$41k. But I think I'd wait to see if an AMG version becomes available.

  • Salaam alaikumm, I'm an IT support consultant in Chicago, got all my education there, am a US citizen, and i have about 5 years of IT job experience. What are my chances of getting a decent paying IT job in dubai? I recently stopped in dubai on my way to hyderabad, and i loved it. Also i heard that almost everything is tax free, and some companies even provide housing among other things. Thanks, hope to get some feedback!

    January 6, 2006 at 1:58pm
Thankssss, so how do I go about searching and applying for a job there? are there any particular websites that you can recommend?
    January 5, 2006 at 11:23am

  • I love being a first born. Not only because I can boss all my siblings and cousins around but also I can lead them by example. I hardly disagree with them, nor would they across our boundaries. They call me 'kak long' which means a first female daughter in the family. However, an 'abang long' is for a first male son . Basically, in Malaysian Tradition all first-borns would have something in common: sharing an afffectionate 'nickname' which specifically designs for us as a respect. Most of my siblings and cou...
