While I was tidying my room this weekend I've found an oooooold shoes box full of oooooooold music tapes. I've forgotten how my musical tastes were... errr... eclectic! : De la Soul, Take That :( and other Color Me Badd, Prince, PM Dawn, MJ in this early years.... and Kool and the Gang! This band was great, and even 15 years later this tape is still WONDERFUL. I don't know if it's the funky rhythms or just the souvenir which came back to me after hearing it, but it was a lovely step back in time :)

Taken from my journal: Is Salaat Necessary? Many people, when they realize I am religious enough to cover myself, ask me: "so, do you make salaat?" My answer is usually, "Of course! How can you even ask?" What a sad state our ummah is in when this is a legitimate question. Even worse when it is followed with, "you pray all 5?" Of course I pray all 5! One Of the Reason Its bad is because, it takes the fun out of learning,once the person reaches near the deadline the person starts to hate thing they are doing or once took up out of fun, the aim of the goal changes from doing it for fun to paranoia of finishing it before the deadline or not
