I'm kinda using this Village to advertise another. Hope that's OK Omer. If not, feel free to remove it. I've started a new Village called Moderate_Muslim. I just thought something like that was lacking. So for all the "moderate" muslims around... feel free to join up.

Tribune staff reporter K.C. Johnson handicaps the Bulls-Wizards series. GUARDS Chris Duhon played well in the season series, and Washington doesn't have a perimeter defender as solid as Kirk Hinrich. But Gilbert Arenas and Larry Hughes are having All-Star-type seasons and averaged 30.3 and 20.5 points, respectively, in the series. EDGE: WIZARDS FORWARDS Both teams are missing a starter with Luol Deng and Jarvis Hayes out. Antawn Jamison is averaging 17.3 points and 12.3 rebounds in the s... Read More

after hearing much praise, i just finished reading this novel. i thought it was excellent in its realism and in the way it encompassed multiple facets of human life and emotion. a few days of reading this book have given me a clearer view of afghan life, more so than several years of watching the news about it. i found it both fascinating and disturbing. the disturbing part being, of course, the ugly actions we humans are capable of committing. anyone else read this and have any thoughts to share?

Excellent line which I stole off of RamseyNotRich's Profile. Hope you don't mind! :)
May 10, 2005 at 7:12pmIt's amazing how the Mullahs and other religious leaders can so easily declare someone "kafir" when it conflicts with their own ideas or suits their political needs.

Hey guys. Man was I excited to discover this village! I think I have more love for UAE than I do for my own hometown (Hyderabad, India). My dad's family is from the UAE and I went there for the first time in the summer of '03 and it was no doubt the BEST experience of my life. I was so afraid that my family would shun me for not being arab, but they totally embraced me and it was the most emotional experience I've ever had. UAE is m'A the most beautiful place on earth. I read an article not too long ago about the negative effects of inbreeding among Saudis. One professor mentioned that he could tell where his students were from based upon symptoms they exhibited during his classes. For example many of his students couldnt stay awake due to severe anemia. There were alot of other important statistics. %40 of the Saudi population suffers from some form of bloodborn illness such as anemia. 1 in 10 children is stillborn. This is a result of centuries of inbreeding. Vitaligo... Read More
