I just recieved an autographed copy of this book as a gift today. It was written by Murakami Ryu (Ryu Murakami to those not familiar with Japanese naming systems). I loved this book. However it is a morally reprehensible book and completely unredeeming in almost every way. I warn readers with sensitive sensibilities. Its only for people looking to shake themselves completely out of the box. Anyone else read this one?
June 9, 2005 at 9:55amRozaiba, it isnt unique, but many westerners don't know about it. In Japan, we refer to a person last name first. The family name and honor is always held above the individual.June 9, 2005 at 2:48amCan you let me in on the Japanese naming system? What is unique about it?June 9, 2005 at 12:26amIts funny Harley, because I never liked Haruki Ryu, but ive found that the people who like Murakami dont like Haruki and vice versa. Strange innit?

i believe i have found the bike to upgrade from a 748 too. not too many choices, the new ducs aren't that appealing to me, the mv agusta f4 is cool, but i don't feel it either. but this i can feel. i like the round pipes under the seat, kinda like my 748's, the new future looking pipes are cool, but i like round pipes more. something classic about it. and i love the tubular swingarm probably borrowed from ducati (they said they'd only use it for that wierd limited edition bike, they lied, hehehe), the engine... A lady walks into a fancy high-rise restaurant and sees a really cute guy sitting at the bar. She goes over and asks him what he is drinking. "Magic Beer", he says. She thinks he's a little crazy, so she walks around the bar a bit, but after realizing that there is no one else worth talking to, goes back to the man sitting at the bar and says, "That isn't really Magic Beer, is it?" "Yes, I'll show you." He takes a drink of the beer, jumps out the window, flies around the building 3 times an... Read More

I awake to a plain white ceiling i quickly shut my eyes again, hoping to recapture what occurred only seconds ago, i was young again. fifteen. freedom was seldom a favor granted but often a treasure stolen. the night pacificed our energy... we crossed the sands, running while everyone else, in slumber, oblivious to our rebellion the world, for those few hours, was ours, in the palm of our hand it stood still. we ran, stumbled and fell and rose again, ready ... Upon reaching that ultimate goal, and achieving that infinite reward we sought after in this life, if we should be so lucky after attaining the most superb gift from the Divine... will we miss our place in this world? upon opening the doors to those lofty palaces promised light will fill our endless days.... for those endless nights in prayer alone.... when you were one with the Lord.... after discovering the promises we aspired to the vast expanse.... those rolling green hills discover... MARS SPECTACULAR! The Red Planet is about to be spectacular! This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens aga... i really love the music of dmb. hot. speaking of crashing.. has anyone else seen the movie 'crash'? wow. great stuff. speaking of which, today i saw a real-life crash in front of my eyes. there is a small intersection at which there are no lights. most people understand that the person who is going down the main street has the right of way. i believe. anyway, the driver on the crossing street, the non-main one, decided to go first. either because he approached the intersection first or because he...
