  • As salama laykum, My dorks. My fellow hopeful dorks. This date brings us a very dark period in our time. This time of august marked the 60th Anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombing by the United States of America. Rough estimates: Hiroshima: 70,000 dead Nagasaki: 50,000 dead And allah knows, how many more have died. These two bombings committ to be the most largest terror attacks by any one ever in the history of this world. I am deeply sadenned, and my heart sinks as i write thi... Read More

  • In the 1920s Austrian psychiatrist Alfred Adler first looked at the significance of each child?s place in the family, and many experts still consider birth order a factor in shaping a child?s personality. A child's birth order: Someone's birth order is the position occupied by that person during childhood in relation to his or her siblings. This could be one of several positions: An 'only' child: has no competition from siblings for its parents' love. Such a child becomes somewhat... Read More

  • Hi everyone! Just wanted to ask what new Arabic music people have been listening to this summer, mashan I'm getting kind of bored of the stuff I have & been trying to look for things on the internet, bas the arabic sites don't seem to update their 'latest' collections very often. p.s. I'm into Lebnani-masri stuff the most. Not really a khaleeji fan. Just wanted ideas incase anyone from the Arabic world is reading this & knows a bit more than me at the moment.

  • Narrated Aisha (RA): whenever the Prophet (SAW) went to bed every night, he use to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surah Ikhlaas, Surah Al Falaq and Surah An Naas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of the body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He use to do that 3 times. Bukhari

  • Alright ladies and gents, I did the most craziest thing of my life this saturday. I jumped off a plane! Me and Boby were just talking about it on Thursday and we made a plan. So, we started drving to the Hollister airport around 2 and got there about 3p. So we signed up and then there was a long waite! Isn't it funny people are paying for suicide, anyways! Finally it was our turn! Marched towards the plane, got all dressed up and got into the plane! It was a small plane. As we took off people s... Read More

  • Recently I jokingly made a casual remark which ofcourse the desee man assumed was an attack coming from an independent, professional desee woman ( sigh!.........isnt that annoying, gals??) and retorted by telling me how easy it is for guys over 30 to find girls under 30. And that set the wheels in my mind turning and I thought would be nice to have some naseeber input. • I felt it necessary to dedicate an entry just to this young lady. Shakoor, Natalie Portman is only hot SOMETIMES. Like in Closer, you just couldn?t get close enough?.but in Garden State (awesome movie) she was blaaaaah. I mean she had a cute character but the voice was overly annoying?her mouth looked like it was 5 feet in diameter?u cant disagree with me there. More comments are welcome?.Shakoor, unravel your mouthful?

  • ?Dici che il fiume? Miss Sarajevo is one of my all time favorites. Does anybody know if this has ever been played live? I've been to 4 U2 concerts - never saw them play this one. This is a rare song where Pavarotti's awesome voice is juxtaposed neatly with Bono's creative lyrics and the traditional U2 sound. Bono and Pavarotti teamed up to voice their protest against Massacres and Atrocities of the Bosnian war. Pavarotti's stanza appears at the end of the song - probably the best part of the lyrics. The spi... Read More
