  • Salam everyone. So myself being new to NYC does anyone have a recommendation for: 1. Iftar places near Brooklyn Heights. I work near Metrotech Center in Brooklyn and would love to find a halal restaurant nearby. 2. Mosques in Manhattan. Are there any near Central Park South and 6th Ave? Any suggestions appreciated.

There is a mosque on State Street, walking distance form Metrotech. (lovely brownstone converted) Maghrib is usually 10 minutes after iftaar. And iftaar is provided every night ...

  • 1. Address by Musa Al-Hindi for Al-Awda at S24 demo in DC Sisters and Brothers, It is an honor to be with you on this historic day. As you know, there were attempts to exclude Palestine from today's events, even though the role played by Israel and its US-based functionaries in the destruction of Iraq is well known. The developments of the past few months in Palestine had made the understanding of the Palestinian Arab-Zionist conflict difficult. This difficulty was made worse by the lack of clari... Read More

You're obviously been hurt bigtime..but love in not a usless feeling. Love is a test. Real love is selfless..if it is based on "want" and "need" I think its an egotistical love....
    September 29, 2005 at 12:02am
And why would anyone call love..useless? It might sound cliched but "To have loved and lost is better than not having loved at all". Blaming the feeling instead of the person, d...

    September 28, 2005 at 8:19am
Yeah, I have to agree. The GTO is not a "sporty car" in my opinion. And I don't think the Maxima is an "entry-level luxury car" either. The Scion Xb as the best compact? PUH-LEA...

  • Many people claim that Islam is all we need, weather for politics, state, economy but for must of all: Marriage. This mentality could work about 1000 years ago, but you can't manage a State by a word says "Islam" since Islam itself didn't come with a political system, other than the fundamental idea of "Democracy" or what it calls "Shora", but other than that, Islam is too smart to freeze the nation in one political form, since Allah knows that societies change and so mentalities, and political systems are... • I am currently renting a 2 bedroom apartment located in Annandale, right inside the beltway and I am looking for someone to share the place with. It's in a great location, only half a mile from 495, about 2 miles away from 66 and 3 miles from the metro. It is also conveniently located approximately 8 mins from the Annandale campus of NOVA and about 15-20 mins from Mason. If you are interested or know someone that might be interested, feel free to comment in here of email me on naseeb. :)
