God created the donkey and said to him. "You will be a donkey. You will work un-tiringly from sunrise to sunset carrying burdens on your back. You will eat grass, you will have no intelligence and you will live 50 years." The donkey answered: "I will be a donkey, but to live 50 years is much. Give me only 20 years" God granted his wish. ------ God created the dog and said to him: "You will guard the house of man. You will be his best Friend. You will eat the scraps that he gives you and you will live 30 y... Read More

Hey all, If you're like me, you're bummed out by the loss to the gay Panthers yesterday. What the hell happened to our defense?! We were #1 in the league and all of a sudden the Panthers get more yards in the first half than we've ever given in an entire game this season. The cornerbacks played like crap, and Mike Brown's injury really hurt the secondary. In any event, you would think that after the first quarter the Bears' defensive coordinator (Ron Rivera) might think about focusing on defending againt Smit... Read More

If you read the book and loved it, chances are you will adore this film too! I read Memoirs of a Geisha some years ago and although I know for a fact that I loved the book and didnt want it to end, my memory of the story and some of the characters had by now become somewhat sketchy! I have anticipated watching the film to fill in those gaps that have appeared over time... Seldom does a film live up to a book it's inspired by but this one really brings the story to life, very tender and simply stunning to ... Read More

Now here's something I have been thinking about: there are so many orphaned children in the world who are living in unhuman conditions in Asia, Africa...I think at some point in my life, I really would like to adopt. Funny thing is, when i tell this to my non-Muslim friends, they totally understand, but when in talking with my Muslim friends, I get a disapproving reaction. Even my parents are not too keen. Is there something about our culture or Islamic culture(s) that does not regard adoption favorably. W... Read More

I think that the 27th November - Pak Charity event was a fraud. Why? Because no one can prove how much money was raised and where the money went ! The "Organisers" have disappeared and dont have the "Balls" to answer any of my Q's. Well .... the Earthquake victims are still dying... and I dont think they will recieve any of the funds the event raised. What do you think? Your answers on a post card please !

The Leadership of Ahlul-Bayt (A.S.) The purpose of this Mail is merely to demonstrate that Shia views about the special importance and the leadership of Ahlul-Bayt do not come out of the blue. In this way, I hope to contribute to better understanding among Muslims and hence help to reduce some people's hostility against the followers of the Members of the House of the Prophet (S.A.W.). The fact that we (Shia) have adopted a creed which differs from that of the Ash'arites as far as the fundamental beliefs are c... Read More
