Feel free to add to this list for some interesting fun! Things You Don't Want to Hear During Surgery: Oops! Has anyone seen my watch? That was some party last night. This is truly a freak of nature. Better save that. We'll need it for the autopsy. Come back with that! Bad Dog! Wait... Read More

When I first saw a geometric proof of the Pythagorean theorem several years ago, I wondered why they didn't present this in my geometry class way back then when I took it in 9th grade. Here is the straightforward proof: mathforum.org and here is an interesting geometric proof that isn't as straightforward but can be followed nonetheless sunsite.ubc.ca Anybody else have other interesting proo... Hey guys Here is an interesting study for you. Dr. Goel and colleagues looked at different number of immigrant subgroups and the number of years these groups lived in the United States. Now guess what they found??? Well the results were quite obvious: the greater the number of years immigrants lived in the United States, the higher their BMI's (body mass index) became. In fact, immigrants living in the United States for at least 15 years had BMI's approaching that of the US-born adults. Bottom line... Read More

Haq Char Yaar (RadhiALLAHu Anhum) "Muhammad is a Messenger of ALLAH, and those who are with him are hard against the unbelievers and merciful among themselves, thou seest them bowing, prostrating, seeking bounty and pleasure of ALLAH, their mark is on their faces, being the trace of prostration. That is their likeness in the Torah and their likeness in the Gospel, as a seed that puts forth its shoot, then strengthens it, then it becomes stout, then it rises straight on its stalk, pleasing the sowers that, ... Hey guys, Just wondering, if any you folks have some advice on overcomming a plateau. I think at one time, we all reach our limits, and then it gets harder to surpass a certain mark. For example, on the Bench Press I've been stuck at the same maximum weight for almost a year at 4 to 5 reps. Is there any any way to overcome it?

hmmm... Finally some news on who will be the next Bond! LOL, it's Pierce again... for atleast one more go w/ the 007 gig! Judi Dench, who plays 'M', acknowledged today that Pierce Brosnan will reprise his role as James Bond again at the age of 51. I have no complaints, I mean it's not like there was anyone else who was a real contender; more like pretenders being forced to be Bond, James Bond! Now, let's just hope for a more traditional script and believable storyline ;-)

What the Qur'an Says Regarding Domestic Abuse: Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great. A keen country lad applied for a salesman's job at a city department store. At the end of his first day on the job his boss fronted up and asked, "How many sales did you make today?"
