What metal is used to make crowns in middle-eastern and eastern european countries? Why does it rust???? Why the h*& & do I have 2 patients with splinted molar to molar crowns on periodontally sound teeth (at least 80% of bone present) with huge overhangs, open margins & flagrant lack of esthetics & functionnal occlusion. Why in some of these cases the dentist just dabbed composite interproximally to close the black triangles and "relieve" the pain the patient was complaining of? Since when do we do multiple ... It's sad but yeah.. some desi people think pathans are to the desi world as blondes are to the western world.. I heard these jokes as a kid .. sure you have come across these as well.. joke 1 - A white man who can not swim is drowning and a pathan walks by. He sees that the guy clearly needs help so he dives in and saves the guy. The man thanks him. "Thank you thank you thank you" The pathan interprets this as "phank you phank you phank you" and phanks him back in the water! joke 2 - 4 men ar... Read More

Over the last five to ten years, Islamic Banking has become increasingly prevalent in the United Kingdom with a number of conventional high street banks now offering islamic financial services. The thing that still bugs me though, is how Islamic are all of these services and products. I don't question the legality of any of them as people far more intelligent than I have approved them and I have a great deal of respect for the likes of Sh. Nizam Yaqubi and Justice Taqi Usmani. What I do question though is... Read More

Is it me or everywhere I turn I see an overhyped story on Dwyane Wade on ESPN? True, the guy is having great playoffs, but I would still take LeBron any day of the week over Wade. Not only does Wade have Shaq, I don't even think he's better than Kobe (although we all hate Kobe, I'm pretty sure). I would have to believe once Kobe gets another great player (Ray Allen), all the talk about Wade being better than Kobe has to stop. Anyways, the Pistons are going to whup Wade and the Heat in 6, so he won't... Read More

Izmir in TurkishLang
I lived in Izmir, Turkei from Dec 1981 to Dec 1991. The best years of my life. I miss Turkei every day. Try to speak turkish some how. I semi-fluent. Forgotten so many words. Was a Galatasaray fan. And can'st still believe that Tancu went to jail for herion smuggling. He was very good. I lived on Karasyaka and Midhatpasa. I miss the people, weather and the food. Donair and aryan and iskandker kebab and so much more.
June 13, 2005 at 6:45amyep, Izmir is a beautiful city. I am a Galatasaray fan too, but our team is in financial shortage nowadays. You have the nick Turks though you are a desi :)

When we talk about education, what do we mean? Literacy? or Knowledge? In general, we imply institutional/academic education when we talk about an individual?s educational background. I find it little different. I know many PhDs that don?t even know how to talk or behave well. They don?t know how to present themselves effectively. Although they are institutionally highly educated, they simply don?t have an overall understanding of life itself. All they have done in their life is just reading books, scoring high ... Read More
