  • I am in the NoVa area/DC. I was wondering if anyone is interested in a study group for the LSAT. I am not envisioning a classroom-type environment, but at least a group who meets regularly to study individually and perhaps help one another. • Sufism is known as the Way of the Heart, the Way of the Pure, the Mystical Path of Islam. By whatever name it is called, it is the path which takes the seeker to the Divine Presence. Each person is a unique representative of the Divine. The Sufis say, "If human beings knew their own inner secrets, never would they look elsewhere for seeking happiness, peace and inner light." Therefore the essence of the Path is to find oneself. "Know thyself, know thy Lord!" is an imperative of the Sufi Way. Human belives on be... Read More

From your parents, your teachers, your experiences, your friends? think about what values matter most to you - and then write about them.what are your laws of life?

  • Granted you don't get married everyday, but then again, this village _does_ have over a Thousand members. So, the _changed_ question is: Would you make love on the first night OF YOUR MARRIAGE? If so, ain't it rather fast? I ask because I have always believed in taking my time. Even after my own pseudo-lovingly-arranged marriage, I found that my taking 30 days wasn't enough. (Should be 90 I hear!-) What's more, I find the emotional aspect just as important, if not more so, than the physical attractio... Read More

One of the most interesting topics is the theory that if you're used to squatting heavy ( more than twice your body weight, shoulder pressing (more that your body weight) that you can actually end up being half an inch to an inch shorter. I'm not sure exactly how far that's true. From what I read the geletin between the disks in your spine can get compressed causing you shrink a little bit. Maybe that's why a lot of body builders these da... Read More
