  • My heart, on this path words are hollow. At the door of Union you have to surrender yourself. You will never soar to the sky where His birds fly unless you give up your wings..... ****************************** A soul that carries your image, beloved never withers nor fades. The slim crescent of the moon signals only the beginning of fulness. ****************************** To dance is not to jump to your feet at once and rise painlessly in the air like dust. • browsing the world through Google Earth and start exploring Karachi.... evaluating the heights from the sea level of many locations in Karachi and nearby.. Suddenly I found quite elevated mountains about 1500 feet above the see and eventually I discover 2000 feet and higher mountains just about 45 Km North from the heart of Karachi. I conceived how nice it would be if proper infrastructure is developed in that area and people can safely visit and stay there for adventure and pleasure. I am sure we can see spark... Read More

  • I'm mostly a fan of music from the 80's and early 90's, so I listen to a lot of New Order, The Smiths, Electronic, Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, The House Of Love, Ride, Close Lobsters, The Mighty Lemon Drops, etc. Are there any recent albums that are worth checking out? How about stuff by Mark Gardener, British Sea Power, Brakes, etc.

  • I don't really listen to Oasis, but I think the Gallagher brothers look hilarious whenever they pose for photographs. They try to look badass but they end up looking rather comical instead. As of this writing, the pics are still pending approval.

  • SA first of all, 3eed mubarak for everyone second, i am a bit confused about when the 3eed will begin. The ISNA announced that astronomically the first of Zul-Hejja will be Jan 1st, and Mecca will sight the moon on Saturday Dec 31st. Then, there is a possibility that according to Mecca the start of Zul-Hejja will be Jan 2nd. So, will the ISNA follow Mecca, or go with itself, and what normally happens here in North America, do Muslims also have possibly 3eed on different days like Ramadan? Salam.

    January 9, 2006 at 8:55pm
ISNA is announced that Eid is tomorrow (Tuesday), which is the same as Saudia, so I am wondering why are some masajid having it on Wednesday. I am really not judging but I do wa...

  • Do muslim women feel more and more like they are "settling" by choosing to marry a Muslim male (regardless of whether one feels they have to or not)? For example, say you decide that you are only going to marry a muslim guy, when you decided that, did you accept for yourself that you will probably be "settling" because in your experience muslim men seem less and less like the ideal? I'm basically wondering if muslim women who chose to marrry (or feel they have no other option) muslim males feel they are making ... Read More

  • I added this question to a couple of Villages and I will add it here as well. Just something I've been thinking about. Why are guys afraid to consider single women with children? I know if a guy falls for a woman and she has kids, maybe he will accept the children, but if he knows ahead of time that she has children, he might not even want to give her a chance. Why are men so afraid of children? Along the same line, why are men afraid to adopt other children if they have their own? Many would consider ... Read More

  • The Historical Event of Fadak After his victory at Khayber the Holy Prophet (S) decided to destroy the remaining strongholds of the Jews and thus end the danger to Islam. He therefore turned his attention to the Jewish village of Fadak, which was a fertile territory 180 kilometers north of Madina. He sent an envoy to the elders of Fadak. The chief of the village, preferred peace and surrender to fighting. In return for the protection of the Muslims, he agreed to give half of the produce of the region to ... Read More
