  • At the beginning of each year a lot of resolutions are being made by individuals to do 'X' this year. Also it provides an opportinuty to do a critical analysis of last years resolutions ? What happened to last year's resolutions, how you handled that/them. Also what are your plans to carry-out this year's resolution? Please share. Anyone having plans to make a skydive this year?

Noor you seem to be working on very interesting things. Can't offer much help in this regard though. Apologies!

  • What does it mean for the future of the region? (Hell! When you are having structural equation modeling woes, you can't even write more than two lines on such a major event :) but i would like to know what everyone thinks)

  • Many people chose interesting names, or numbers, to represent themselves here, so why don't you share why you chose it, or its significance to you...as a way of learning more about one another, and ... to liven up the village a bit. Those who picked their own names or chose a name that is a derivative of the word "masry" or "Egyptian" (80% of the village members, lol) can still join the thread for moral support :)

  • My family are very strict. I get a lot of marriage pressure from them. Things are worse coz we don't live in a Muslim neighborhood. Against all odds I met a man 7 months ago on Naseeb. He seemed like a nice man and soon I got attached. 3 months later he started talking about getting engaged and moving things on. I thought this was the right way of doing things. He invited me over to meet his family. Everything went ok. After the meeting he didn't call. I called him for an explanation a week later. He ... Read More

  • "Fine" This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. "Five Minutes" If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. "Nothing" This is the calm before the storm. This means "something" and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with "nothi... Read More
